help those poor boys. Lets all pray a little harder
for them. My lifestyle is also a little odd, scares
me to think I could get rail-roaded because of it.

Hi and How are You? Praise God, and Greetings!

Brooks Art Museum and Gallery, in Memphis, TN,  sponsored a lecture and art
Exhibit Last Sept 22nd, after waiting for it's turn for four years as the man
was so booked up. He is the world's leader in promoteing Buddhism and Tibetan
Art, wisdom and compassion. The lecture and slide series were free, but to view
the exhibit you had to pay, receiving a button to wear so the guards could see
that you had paid.

I was one of the first to arrive, and sat down front in an isle seat near the
podium, and as the auditorium darkened, I remained in the light at floor level
near the speaker, as the auditorium rose from that point, to the rear of the
room.

I wore my blue Superman t-shirt. A matching black suit coat and vest, with
pants, and white tennis shoes, black ball cap.

I took off the cap, coat and sat in the aisle seat with my legs out in the
aisle, turned to face the back of the autiorium so all that entered and filled
the auditorium would easily see my bright shirt.

When the Director of the Museum introduced the man, she said that he had been
voted as in the top twenty-five in the Nation as the Most Influential man in
America by Time Magazine, and I knew there was going to be a hot time in the
cold town that afternoon.

He began his speach with "This WHOLE Event is JUST for YOU!!    YOU are the MOST
important person in this room. YOU are SOOOO Special. YOU are "IT"!!
".............(Uh-Oh!!!).

Several times throughout his lecture he asked a question similar to "Did you get
that?", but kept talking and never allowed anyone a chance to respond till he
finally paused too long after asking "Do you follow me?"...to which I screamed
in the tradition form.."Would you run that by me ONE more time?". The audience
roared and I can safely say I got more laughter than he did in any of his
attempts to be cute.

Before the slide presentation and at the end of the lecture, he asked if there
were any questions and I was the FIRST to respond: "IF this WHOLE event is JUST
for me, and I AM the MOST Important person in this room, and I AM sooo special,
and I AM "It"...(Pointing to my Superman shirt)...THEN...I want that Brooks
Museum General Admission Badge you are wearing, as I AM unemployed and I can't
afford to get into the exhibit and I want to seee that STUFF".

He began to pause uncomfortably and started to stutter with "Well..I..UH..Guess
I won't have any trouble...uh...getting in"...and proceeded to undo the badge
from his laple. I raced up on stage full of glee...and stood beside him as he
handed it to me, smiling like a bandit....Superman! (It's not easy. It's not
easy to be..Rick REED)

I pinned it to my Obvious VA ID Card that was on my vest's left side, and
strutted my t-shirt to the audience, laughed, and turned to go to my seat, but
spun around, kicked my left leg behind me, to reveal my matching blue socks, and
extended my right arm out to him to shake his hand. It took him a few seconds to
shake my hand and he was obviuolsy uncomfortable. The crowd was like a low buzz
...like some electrical motor humming. I sat.

The rest of the crowd pretty much grilled him more so than I had ever seen in
any lecture, actually challengeing him and the Buddhist philosophy. One woman
after I sat down did say "Were you just HELPING him?". He said..."No, that was
DEMONSTRATION".

During the entire slide presentation which was rather lengthy, as everyone else
sat upright as the norm in their seats, me in my aisle seat, sat half way
extended out into the aisle, in
The Thinker's" statue position. Standing in line to meet him afterwards, I chose
to be last, as he did talk at great length to many. Sitting on the edge of the
stage, photographers came up and asked for my name, etc, and asked to photograph
me. I told them ONLY if they sent me a copy, as I had my picture taken all the
time and never got to see copies. They are SUPPOSED to send me copies after I
gave them my address, and they remembered the politics fropm the past. One guy
thought I was someone named John McIntire, whoever that is.

Speaking to the lectutrer, I asked him if his deafness that he mentioned earlier
was due to tinnatis, as I had the roaring in my ears, he only said "NO", and
turned to leave. I grabbed him by the elbow and said "Thanks"...and he left
without another word. Though the man was labled by Time Magazine as one of the
Top 25 MOST Influential Men in America, I let HIM and over two hundred of my
fellow Memphians KNOW that a Tennessee Hillbilly could INFLUENCE HIM...into
doing something for ME...Rick REED...free Admissiion into an eXhibit that
EVERYONE had to pay for. Plus, on a personal level, as a Christian, in The Bible
Belt, we know that WE are NOT "IT"...our God is......WEEEEEE!

The video was probably for the Museums' library or it will be on PBS locally or

In the end, it is all quaranteed that old promise of living

But why CRY about it now, as drawing any line or claiming it is time
to ,well...uh.......it's too late baby, well it's too late.

And face this: Remember the Movie: Men In Black...the ending in
particular, was the MAIN FOCUS and PURPOSE and message of the whole
film.

Everything that we KNOW about the universe ends up in ONE marble that
ONE alien is playing with on ONE planet...and THAT alien and all the
planets that HE doesn't know about is ONE marble some ONE alien is
playing with on some other ONE planet, and so on and so on and so on
and so on till you go nuts, right?

If you would put down the Charles SCHULTZ comics,and read modern
science reviews, you may recall that EVERYTHING we EVER knew about
the universe...is NOW just like a GRAIN of SALT compared TO what they
have JUST discovered.

And they say that in five years...EVERYTHING that we have just
discovered about the universe will be like a grain of salt...and so
on and so on and so on...every five years.

SO what's so horrible about thinking that mankind on earth may have
been cloned from the begining, by aliens?

I prefer to think THAT.

This Everlasting Loveing God...He's on top of it all......and "UP
THERE".

What, and where do you think heaven is...."UP There!"

I can see Him, and all the others casually, bored to death at times
watching all of us and at other times haveing a ball like a barrel of
monkies.

And...study about Easter Island...landing area for UFO's.

And the Pyramids...UFO's landed on them way back....and there are
Pyramids being built in every city of our country....prepareing us.

And this whole idea of Star Trek..the movies, Star Wars...it is just
a medicinal grooming for generations yet to come who will WELCOME the
aliens...instead of what happened with Orson Welle's Broadcast of the
martians landing...and people killed themselves.

To be so narrowminded to think that WE are "It"...why we don't even
know something so simple as Peace on our ONE planet.

How can we be anything but a continued race of pre-kindergarten
failures, captain kangaroo drop outs, and sesame street failures?

Of course the idea of there being something OUT THRE bigger and
better than ourselves is too much for a race of people who can't even
understand or comprehend the very IDEA of global peace...today or
anytime near.

The Term UFO...was founded, made a word for the english speaking
people...by the Supreme Court and Congress during the 50's,
60's....after hearings and statements, testamonies given by
commercial airline pilots who saw so many unidentified flying
objects, mostly at night while flying our jets coast to coast and
around the world.

Any of this information, these testamonies may be found in most

In Twelth Grade English at Treadwell High School, Memphis, TN l969... I gave an
oral book report rather than a written one for the book FARENHEIT 451.

I wanted to make sure the kids heard about it as opposed to it being a report on
paper that only the teacher would see.

Decades later, I would get to see the author of that book receive his STAR on
the Hallywood Walk of Fame in Hollywod, CA days after attending the Academy
Awards.

(I was the only one that screamed my guts out each and everytime they mentioned
Charlton Heston's name. The 3rd time, he was looooking around for me...Ooooops.)

So....the idea behind the following editorial is one I share, but I did not
author this...just forwarding it on.

I AM pretty upset by this whole internet thing, our government, the world, the
universe and everything.

I get countless hate emails daily, hardly ANYthing in support of my work which

On Monday, July 1, Microsoft announced plans for a new product known as
'Palladium' that it claims will assure 'security' and 'copyright
protection' on the internet. Advocates for freedom of _expression and
privacy, though, point out that the processor-based digital
authentication system will enable Microsoft to effectively
remote-control home PCs. If the system becomes widely adopted, people
will be forced to buy Palladium-enabled computers.

Palladium is only roughly outlined, but what is known indicates that it
is almost certain to put an end to Open Source software as we know
it—i.e., Linux. Palladium would also give Microsoft unlimited access to
your personal internet history, email history, email encryption keys and
even the contents of your hard drive. It would also enable
centrally-controlled, hardware-based blocking of websites that it deems
'insecure' and hence 'non-Palladium-approved'.

"It's the ultimate in an Orwellian presentation of the issue," says
Chris Hoofnagle, the legislative counsel at the Electronic Privacy
Information Center. "You dress up an invasive tool as a helpful one."

Once this sort of external control is enabled, it is not only Microsoft
that would have what is, in effect, complete control of your computer.
For example, if the government were to label an organization as
'terrorist', a 'threat to national security', 'illegal', or 'socially
inappropriate', that organization's website could be blocked to anyone
with a Palladium-enabled computer. Non-Palladium-enabled computers would
be identified as 'insecure' and have limited or no access to the
internet.

Sites like Indymedia that feature creative and radical individual
expressions could be marginalized and kept from public view. Likewise,
anyone who has unauthorized music or software on their machine would not
be able to play/use it. If the government does not like what you are
doing on your computer, they can wipe your hard-drive and lock you out
of it.

The internet has become a powerful tool for individuals to communicate,
educate themselves, organize and oppose centralized domination. This
initiative is a primary component in seizing the internet from the
individual and putting it under centralized control.

On December 20 (2002), the New York Times published a story with an
exceedingly ominous headline: "Bush Administration to Propose System for
Monitoring Internet." I can think of some reasons not to be as alarmed
as I am at this bit of news and to greet this is just another ho-hum
from a big journal. When you ask, Who is so naďve as to suppose the
administration was not monitoring already? This simply appears as
confirmation of what is going on. Another yawn comes from realizing this
news is actually old stuff, as noted in the article. The proposal was
adumbrated September last in "draft form." (When the draft appeared it
called for "industry" to do the monitoring, but now, in the current
version, government will undertake to do it. Surprise! Surprise!) And I
am sure you can find other notes of "business as usual" in the article.
The dead-pan reporters, John Markoff and John Schwartz, who never come
even close to saying the dread word censorship, run on for a couple of
dozen short paragraphs about how the purpose of the proposal is, of
course, the urgent search for terrorist activities and not at all about
invading privacy, etc., etc., which is the worry of the Internet service
providers and others they interviewed. But any lover of the Internet is
going to get cold chills from, if nothing else, the story's lead: "The
Bush administration is planning to propose requiring Internet service
providers to help build a centralized system to enable broad monitoring
of the Internet and, potentially, surveillance of its users."
Surveillance! Ah, how deliciously World War II (movie version). Can you
see those marvelous Nazi officers that Hollywood always had on tap,
asking for your papers as you attempt to escape on the last train out of
Berlin? They'll surveillance you all right, have no fear. Ach! Ceeteezen
Weiss, strengst verboten! (I remember those words from some war movie).
I have long felt the Bush Administration is not shaping up as the most
glorious friend of freedom the world has ever seen. I have said before
in this space that whenever the boilerplate rolls out from the Oval
Office you can usually do a direct Orwellian translation: peace means
war, security means danger, freedom means government control, etc.
That's when they are talking platitudes or denying the obvious. But when
they are telling you what's coming they manage to be a bit more direct:
the title of this proposal is "The National Strategy to Secure
Cyberspace." Also one Ms. Tiffany Olson, deputy chief of staff for the
President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board (don't you love
those titles?) said, according to the Times article, that the need for a
large-scale operations center is real, because Internet service
companies and other online companies only have a view of the part of the
Internet that is under their control. "We don't have anybody that is
able to look at the entire picture. When something is happening we don't
know it's happening until it's too late." (Like 9/11 presumably?) Or
this from an unidentified official with a "major data services company":
"Am I analogizing this to Carnivore? Absolutely. But in fact it's 10
times worse. Carnivore was working on much smaller feeds and could not
scale. This is looking at the whole Internet." Gary North has made a
virtuoso demonstration of the miracle of the Internet in offering just
three or four links that revealed the depth and extent of the linkage of
the CFR, the OSS and CIA, the Rockefeller interests, and the national
government under a whole string of Presidents since FDR. Just for
starters, FDR was a Rockefeller man through and through and his alter
ego, Harry Hopkins, often credited with "winning the war," carried water
for the Rockefellers all his life. The Rockefellers hired a couple of
historians (academics are notoriously cheap) to falsify the record of
FDR's role in the start of WW II, and that's just one thing to their
credit. As a friend of mine said, they rigged up a long-lasting
depressed stock market in the 30s and then "bought the country back with
sandwiches." Missing from the panorama North opened to view was any
comment on a particular bęte noir of mine, Beardsley Ruml, the inventor
of the withholding tax, a Rockefeller employee and later government
official, who is deserving of a special day on the national calendar set
aside for the burning of his effigy in every county public square. Money
buys loyalty big-time, but loyalty to the commonwealth? Not a bit of it.
I hope that somebody who knows more about the possibilities in this
area, and the technical side of whether or not it is possible for the
Powers That Be to control the Internet as they now control the major
media, will now come forward to reassure us that I am wrong to see this
as a real threat to the ability to check the suppressed history of the
age just past and to find out what is really going on today. I have
great respect for people mastered by the desire to dominate. In the end
they are headed for ruin, but they are the devil's own instruments while
they are in action, and they famously don't like criticism. They are
very thin-skinned and, like Orcs, very ugly when aroused. Tom White

I have received so many emails that sounded like they were written by teenagers

Well, I was off-line since July 3rd, thinking July 4th would be my personal Day

I don't know what went wrong that I just had to return.

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the crosspost. It won't happen
again. It's just that I joined a couple of lists at the same time and don't
know yet which are active and which aren't, so I figured I'd send the same
intro post to all, and will go from there...meaning I'll see who wants to
talk with me ;)

Anyways...I live in Poland and I've found out about the WM3 only a few days
ago, when, after having watched a documentary about Wicca, Druids etc on BBC
channel the day before, I was browsing the internet in search for some more
info on it. One link led to another and finally I got to the WM3 website.

Needless to say, I cried while I was reading the site. I'm wholeheartedly on
the guys' side and when I think of their whole youths so horribly stolen
from them, it makes me feel even worse that there's not much I can do to
help. I did send a letter to Damien today, hopefully it reaches him and
brings him at least a little enjoyment.

Of course my heart goes out to the families who lost their children and I
cannot accept the fact that the real murderer is out free and three innocent
people lost so much already, paying for what they didn't do.

Myself, I'm what you would call a "goth", I dress mostly black, I listen to
certain music, lately I got interested in Wicca, but in all this I'm in no
way connected to Satanism or any other evil deeds. From what I know about
Wicca so far, it's a lovely religion, based on the respect for nature and
living beings.
I come from a catholic family, like most of the Polish people but while I
have a huge respect for some of the ideas, I feel more and more ashamed of
the people who are of this faith. But that's not the point here and in no
way do I wish to start some religious arguments nor offend anyone who
happens to be a catholic because I do know that there are many wonderful
ones (my own mother included ;).

Finding out about the case hit me pretty hard. I can't even begin to imagine
what the guys must have been through... I would go on, but I feel kind of
intimidated posting to all these lists...I'd love to get in touch and talk
with other WM3 supporters. I have some questions too, but I'll save those
for the next time.

I think people are missing the point about this case.  It's not the
fact that they listen to the music that they do, or read the books
they do, or dress in black or believe in what they do. It's not that,
it's the evidence that put them where they are. Not the suit they
wear.
