This group is established as a way for Mensans of Wisconsin to connect with each other around the state, to organize social gatherings, develop relationships, encourage camaraderie, and exchange ideas and information. Members in good standing are encouraged to make use of this service. This group is for friendly, social interaction only and not for any acrimonious debates or venomous diatribes. Members must observe decency in language and topics. The executive committee of Wisconsin Mensa reserves the right to restrict usage so that the service will serve the common good. Mensans enjoy intellectual discussions. So, the service can be used as a way for any member to be recognized and appreciated for the knowledge he or she has to share with other Mensans around the state of Wisconsin, through email messages. You can register your email address with the group if you have a membership number and you are a member in good standing of Mensa of Wisconsin. After your registration is accepted, you can then send email messages to everyone in the group, by using the group's address. All messages are subject to approval by a moderator. The more popular this service is, the more addresses will be added, and the more effective it will be. A provision is also made for a person to have his or her address removed at their request. If a group member is not a current Mensa member, or habitually refuses to observe rules of decency or collegiality, he or she may be dropped as a group member.
You can initiate your group membership by sending an email to wiscomconnect-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. In the email, give your name and membership number. If you wish to separate your group email address from an existing personal email address, sign up for a yahoo email address before applying for group membership. After approval, you are authorized to send out your message to the rest of the group.
