This is similar to Super Double Bonus, found in Nevada.  I analyzed this game with 800 for the 4 Aces, and 40 for the Full House, otherwise the same pay table, and the return was 98.27%.  You can set it up in User Defined Games.  Hope this is helpful.

I'm sorry that it has taken so long to reply to your email - I'm just now
getting around to cleaning out our email mailboxes and your's seems to have
fallen through the cracks.
All you have to do is copy the WinPoker 6.0 install program (BDPW6.EXE)
that we sent you onto a floppy diskette. Then use that diskette to install
WinPoker 6.0 onto your laptop.
Let me know if I can help in any other way ( I PROMISE that your email will
be addressed AS SOON as we get it!!!!)
Again, I'm sorry for the delay.

I would think that you're on the right 'track'. You don't need to play the
WinPoker 100% correct play. You don't care about staying at the machine
for the longest possible time - waiting to maximize your money or to stay
long enough to get the 'big boy'.

So, go for the big payouts during the elimination sessions.

Good luck!

Serious Video Poker players avoid this game. The house edge on the video version is 3.57% of one bet. (About 2.85% of all bets in play). Correct strategy for the video or table version is:

First round : let all winners (pair of 10s or better ride). Also
three to the royal or a 3 card Straight Flush with no gap.
A 3 card straight flush with one gap if at least one card is 10 or higher and a 3 card straight flush with 2 gaps if at least 2 cards are 10 or higher.

Second Round: All winners, All four card royal or straight flushes, All 4 card flushes and all 4 card open straights that contain a 10 or better.
Optional: 4 card open straight with no 10 or higher and an inside straight with 4 high cards (ex: AQJ10) are exactly a
toss up.

If the machine offers the bonus bet-avoid it like the plaque!
The best version I have seen has about an 11% house edge and some versions approach 40%.

We've been practicing on WinPoker 6.0.5 in preparation for an
upcoming Laughlin trip & feel well prepared to play the regular casino
video slots. However, we're enrolled in a comp vid poker tournament at
Laughlin Flamingo where there will be top & bottom winners. The
question is this: Since the first round is a short, timed, elimination
event, should we play normal strategy or go for the big payoff
combinations? My inclination is to go for the royals instead of low
pairs, etc. in hopes of either hitting big or not hitting at all. What

The "change Pay Tables" is grayed out when you are in the Define a game
mode. You can only change a pay table when you are in an already defined game.

The "Show Next Card" is usable only after you have finished a hand.

Well said, even tho it is a HUGE understatement! I, for one, am extremely
grateful for this program. I do own the great Sanford Wong VP, but have never
fooled around with trying to program other games/ variations into it, nor did
I wish to try, It also has all of the drawbacks one would expect in software
that old- the sound has never worked on mine- on ANY machine, among other
things. WinPoker is a wonderful gift for me and others who don't get to a
casino very often and want to learn perfect play without risking $s, and also
have the fun of playing. It's like a candy shop- it has everything!! As you
can see, I love it. I have come up with a solution to a problem that I found
very upsetting for a time. People who say, "well, why don't you just give me
a copy of yours". This program could probably be sold for at least four times
what it is, although I am very grateful that it isn't, and after all of the
work that went into it and the "EV" (and the "QL" value!) you will get out of
it, it really bothers me that some people try to get it for nothing and that
they have the nerve to even ask for it. However, I don't like any kind of
'confrontation', so what I do now is make a copy of the free trial version
and put the URL of the website on the label and give that to them. They are
usually so glad when I hand the disk they think is the full program to them,
that they really aren't "positioned right" to object when I so "nicely" say,
"here it is, try it, I'm sure you're gonna' love it, and if you do, this is
the site where you can download the full version. To date, no one has had the
temerity to carry their request for a "FREE" copy any further! No one's
feelings are hurt, no one is angry, and no one has to miss out on the
greatest software in the gambling world today!

I too would like to see the addition of sequential and reversible
royals. Although WONGVP had that feature, it was hard to find and not
very flexible.

Nowadays several machines are multi-denominational (25 cents, 50 cents,
one dollar, etc). The amount of credits appears as a dollar amount
rather than the number of credits. It would be nice to have the
capability to buy as dollar amounts rather than simply credit amounts.
I would like to see this feature added to WinPoker, perhaps with the
option of displaying in either manner, depending on what the user wants.

I noticed one thing which I am not sure whether or not it is a bug. In
the user defined games, when I select a Four of a Kind type hand (i.e.,
Four Aces) and click on the Ace in the top row, then click on 'All' in
the bottom (kicker) row, the Ace is also highlighted as a kicker. Of
course, the Ace can't be a kicker or it would be a five of a kind. I
haven't applied the 6.0.5 upgrade yet, so I don't know if this has been
addressed, or if it even matters.

All in all, WinPoker is an excellent software application and well
worth the money.

Would like to see sequential and reversible royals. The latter is played here in the Chicago area worth $50000 on a $1-5 coin 9-6-4 dbl dbl bonus with a 0.8% progressive feed for normal royals. The same facility has a slow feed (0.2% to 0.3%) progressive on 10-7 double bonus. On average $1200 more on the dbl dbl bonus makes that game theoretically equal.

Note: VPTUTOR shows sequential and reversible royals but cannot handle kickers. Wongvp does too but is somewhat limited.
Not as important would be the ability to have different payouts on specific 3 of a kinds (high fives, Nevada Bonus).
Only full-pay game of this nature I have seen is high fives with an 8-5 jacks or better schedule at about 99.72%. Note: Wong's software handles these situations.

I have had a couple of reports of BDPW 6 crashing with reference to
WINMM.DLL. This DLL is part of the Windows multi-media support.
Turning off the sound should fix the problem. The other solution is to

anyone has specifics on this, I would appreciate more information on
what type of card is having this problem.
