Jen, These are most probably the Himalayan Black Bears. Brown Bears are found in the same region but they are not as numerous as the Black Bears. Regards, --

This sounds like either sloth bears or perhaps moon bears, but I am not sure what bears are in those parts. I have read of the supposed short-tempered
