What is EarthSeed? "The word 'Earthseed' comes from the idea that the seeds of all life on Earth can be transplanted, and through adaptation will grow, in many different types of situations or places." --- from Wikipedia, "Earthseed." I think this name is appropriate on two levels: first it expresses our love and care for the Earth by sustaining it in the same way it sustains us; second, we pagans are "earthseeds": we have transplanted ourselves from the rural areas, from the land into the concrete Urban Jungle. We have adapted as a religion to many types of situations and places.

Our version of Earthseed studies, nurtures, embraces, and expands the Religion of Earth Itself. We are nature lovers, ritualists, environmentalists, and in touch with the Divine Earth.

Specific topics and areas of interest are determined by the needs of the members. We are an open group that welcomes anyone interested in earth based spirituality.

Many of our members are pagan, interested in paganism, or wish to learn more about paganism. Paganism (and earth centered spirituality in general) means different things to different people. But since the interest level is high, different practices of paganism will be covered. This includes, but is not limited to: ritual, myth, lore, thealogy, and the workings of magick to effect change in the world.
