This site has been set-up for the community of Top Lock and for those who have visited or are planning on visiting the village soon.

Top Lock has many features to enjoy. Not only can you have fabulous meal at the Kirkless Hall but you can use full advantage of the country side experience with fields reaching from Top Lock to Hindley. The village is also 'home' to Woodshaw Rook, a hill made up of slag from the mines that covered the area. It is now full of nature and trees and is superb for bike rides or walks.
Haigh Hall is not a far walk along the canal and these walks can be made more interesting in the summer with pleasure barges using the canal frequently. Please visit the 'related link' site below for the NEW web page dedicated to Top Lock village!
