We still haven't heard any word on our missing Golden Retriever Leah. We
have been searching everywhere and it seems she has fallen off the earth.
Nobody has seen hide nor hair of her. We have flyers out, all of our friends
and family are looking, I've been calling WAIF on a regular basis and no one
knows where she is. I know she didn't run away because she's not a wanderer,
I know she didn't get hit by a car because I would have found her on the
side of the road, I know a cyote didn't eat her because she she does not go
into the woods (she is very timid) so that brings me to the conclusion that
somebody may have taken her and the fact that she had on a collar and tags
in a residential area makes me think that they have stolen her. This is very
distressing. Any of you pet lovers out there know what I mean. It's like a
member of your family has been kidnapped. I have read the postings on this
site and have seen that alot of dogs our found even the ones that do wander
and have no collars or tags. But my dog that is in her neighborhood
(possibly in her own driveway) wearing her collar and tags steps off the
porch into a black hole and is never seen again?  Sounds kinda fishy to me.
So please, please, please if you have any information on her or even if the
guy down the street says he found a stray or got her from WAIF, or if
someone in your neighborhood all of a sudden has an adult reddish golden
retriever, anything at all would be appreciated. We miss her very much.

Alice, a sable corgi female, lost Saturday afternoon in the woods off
of Saratoga road. Was frightened by a man w/ a non-agressive Rottie X
on the trail, & bolted when he kept moving at her (& then he wouldn't
allow me to get in front of him to catch her!)

  She's likely spooked but is generally very sweet & has never been

It's been 4 weeks and still no sign of our golden retriever Leah. We are

Our yellow lab mix that was lost has been found by the old owner. We
received a call to our signs and ads in the paper, saying this woman
had found the dog, but it was really her dog and had made it's way
home. She  said she had been in the hospital and the person watching
the dog had lost the dog and now it wandered home. We tried to ID the
dog as much as possible, but she eventually just hung up the phone on
us. So, in the meantime we have left some signs up and the ad in the
paper, but after a week we have received no other calls of people
seeing the dog. So, we h ave to believe that this woman is either
keeping the dog, or it really was her dog. We are sad, but grateful to
know the dog is ok and being taken care of.

Lost Yorkie, Zoe, last seen 7/20/05 around noon in Clinton off Deer
Lake Road.  Zoe is a larger yorkie approx 11lbs, with coarse dark

We finally found our stolen golden retriever Malia (Leah). It took 6 weeks,
a lot of searching, $105.00 phone consultation with a pet psychic (money not
well spent),and mostly being at the right place at the right time. She's
home and we are so happy to have her back. Athough she seems some what
traumatized, lost most of her hair, was flea infested and 10 lbs thinner I
think she'll be fine. It's amazing how a person would steal a dog to neglect
it. Needless to say Leah was very happy to see us. Thank you for keeping
your eyes and ears open.

On Wednesday afternoon a female Yorkie wearing a green collar was
found running down the middle of the road on Deer Lake Road. She ran
in front of several cars and I stopped to see if she would come.

She did and I attempted to locate her people for over an hour, with no
luck.
She is safe and sound and waiting at WAIF in Coupeville for her people
to come get her.

She surely would have been killed with all the fast cars on that road.
