Welcome to December!  Can you believe it is already here?!  Somehow it
always sneaks up on me.... (even though it always follows November 30th!)
but I am READY for snow, hot cocoa and lots and lots of LIGHTS!   But
first...

Can You Help?  Every year, single mothers are forgotten during the bustle
of this busy holiday season.  This year, the Women's Business Network has
been asked to provide gifts for 45 single moms (and grandmothers, who
have already raised their own children and are now raising their
children's children).  You can adopt a mom for only $15 and she will
receive a beautiful gift basket worth over $30!  Would you consider
adopting one or more moms and help her celebrate a Merry Christmas with
her family?  The baskets will be delivered Tuesday, December 8th so would
you consider adopting a mom today?   You can either e-mail me here to
"reserve" your mom and mail a check (made out to CHRISTIAN BY DESIGN) to
me at 1500 Bayflower Ct, Herndon, VA 20170 or you can go to the Women's
Business Network website at http://www.wahmfest.org/womensbusinessnet and

Part-Time Job Opportunities

Flexforce Professionals, LLC is a new, women-owned company based in
Northern Virginia that matches experienced, educated professionals
looking to work part-time with local employers in need of good people.
We specialize in flexible work arrangements, including temporary
part-time, permanent part-time, and project-based work.

Flexforce Professionals will launch officially in January 2010.  We are
currently in the process of collecting resumes while we informally
cultivate job opportunities.  There is no fee involved or obligation on
your part!  At this point, we do not need the perfect resume nor will we
share your resume with a prospective employer without your permission.
But we do need resumes of all shapes and sizes!!

If you are interested in exploring part-time employment opportunities, we

hours only, 2 days/wk during regular work hours).

Relay for Life Holiday Shopping Party -- Sunday, November 8 from 2 - 6
PM.  Please join us to do a little holiday shopping, meet some fun

she'll give you directions to her house in Oak Hill.

Dulles Women's Business Network Monthly Luncheon -- Friday, November 20
from 12 - 1:30 PM.  Bring your business cards and come meet strong,
interesting business women who are looking for you!  Registration is $25
before November 13 and $30 after November 13 and at the door, space
permitting.  Mamma Lucia's (1428 North Point Village, Reston) will offer
a variety of lunch options, included in your registration fee.  Bring a
nonperishable food item for the food pantry, and receive a coupon for $5
off your next registration.

St. Timothy's Annual Holiday Shop -- Saturday, November 21 from 10 AM - 2
PM.  Join us to find the perfect gift -- from crafters to cookware to
jewelry and more!  We'll also have raffles, food (lunch starts at 11 AM)
and lots of fun, so please join us and bring all your friends.  Admission
is FREE with the donation of a nonperishable food item for LINK or a new
toy for Toys for Tots.  Address: 432 Van Buren St, Herndon, VA 20170.
Print out the attached flyer and bring it with you, and your name will be
entered in a drawing for a $50 AMEX gift card!
