The West Zone Parents Group (WZPG) is a volunteer-run group of parents who are considering enrolling their children in the Boston Public Schools (BPS). Members meet to share information and help one another understand the process of choosing and registering for a school in Boston.


Email Guidelines:

As we all know, email has its strengths and weaknesses. Participants in this list are encouraged to:
• freely offer information about schools, ask questionsconnect and plan with others.;
• raise issues that did not get fully explored during a meeting, propose an avenue for dialogue (such as adding an agenda item to an upcoming meeting, setting up a separate meeting or separate email dialogue)
• inquire if members would like to launch a discussion on the larger email list;

Please remember:
• this is s a public list geared toward parents who are considering and exploring the Boston Public Schools but open to all;
• in-person communication involves tone, facial expressions, body language and a chance for immediate back-and-forth with members not available through email;
• hitting “reply to sender” sends your response to ALL members and not just the sender. (To reply solely to the sender, a member can click on the member’s name and his/her individual email address will appear; you must then retype that address in your “send to” box.)

Please:
• avoid posting anything in an email that you would not be comfortable saying in person;
• consider if your email would be best posted to the whole group or to an individual or subgroup;
