Pathfinders is a LOGOS ministry for children in grades 1-5 which is made up of 5 components.
BIBLE STUDY is the heart of the LOGOS program. The goal of Bible study is to nurture children into intelligent, committed and matured Christian individuals. It also provides the model for building and sustaining Christian relationships.
The WORSHIP SKILLS objective is to develop understanding of and practice in worship skills. Worship is the basic form of Christian service and discipleship. The active participation of children in corporate worship benefits the entire congregation. Children will participate in leading worship often in the year.
FAMILY TIME is when all LOGOS participants are gathered for a meal. It gives an opportunity for all to experience being a part of the famly of God. Dinner is served family-style around tables led by Table Parents. During dinner, everyone is given the chance to share, to serve others and to use table manners. Family fun time after dinner (games, singing, etc) allows each participant to experience "holy hilarity" and makes the dinner hour a joyous, intergenerational celebration.
The RECREATION/PLAY TIME goal is to experience great non-competitive fun at the expense of no one. Crazy games get everyone moving and laughing. Crafts and other activities give participants the chance to try new things. Relationships are developed as children and adults reveal themselves in play, practicing what it means to belong to the Kingdom of God.
SERVICE is not an isolated element, but is incorporated into each of the other four elements in a variety of ways. This allows children to experience reaching into the community as well as learning to serve each other.
