This club was founded as a response to the change of venue that resulted in the Westheimer Street Festival (a.k.a. the Mardi Gras of Houston, Texas) ousted from the Lower Westheimer/Montrose, which went into exile on February 15, 2000, after the Houston City Council upheld a final decision from the DPW, where a street closure permit was denied to the Westheimer Street Festival Corporation. May 6, 2000 was the dawn of the Allen Parkway era, but the WSF lives on, in a different world.



Dedicated to the 'purists' of the WSF, which includes die-hard fans, partygoers, merchants, and musicians that flock every spring and fall of every year. This club has evolved from a fan site to a community outreach program, which isn't affiliated with the Westheimer Street Festival Corporation. Since its creation, this fan club has been a community outreach program which would someday liberate WestFest back to the Montrose District, and push for affordable housing inside Loop 610.
