Description

The Friends of Fidelity

FOF is a safe haven for folk who are engaged on personal psychological and spiritual quests.

Many of you have read and studied the works of Idries Shah, and the focus of this group is in part the Sufi legacy, but moreso new phases of activity and ways ahead.

Essentially, it is a place to simply relax, enjoy yourself, chat about the simple pleasures of life, open your heart and share the care. It would be good to help generate a warm and peaceful, spiritually-conducive working atmosphere here and to thus make a positive contribution to the well-being of one-another and those around us.

Roving Brief

Members are free to explore any avenues they wish here (within reason), even where the things expressed appear to run contrary to authoritative statements or deliberately set aside such authority. In the process certain things may be learnt first-hand that might not have otherwise come to light should certain givens and assumptions have been unquestioned, taken for granted or strictly adhered to.

Ground Rules

Initially, messages from all new members will be briefly moderated. Please note that spam, trollish behaviour, ad hominems, flaming and the use of multiple anonymous pseudonyms will not be tolerated and that we are all “bozos on the bus”. Once you've settled in, please post an intelligible introductory message telling us a little about yourself, before posting any other message.

Opening your Heart

If you're looking for a simple, effective daily exercise, you may find this YouTube video of the Jewel in the Lotus mantra useful: Om mani peme hum.
