Sorry, registration is closed for this session! Please check back...

Watercolor pencil is a wonderful bridge between painting and drawing--it grows daily in popularity, with new materials and techniques. And at last, there's an innovative, exciting, PERSONALIZED class in watercolor pencil--online!

I offer a complete 6-lesson course for a fraction of the cost of an in-person workshop that requires travel and lodging, all in the comfort and convenience of your own home! The online classes include lesson overviews, homework and personal, one-on-one feedback. Learn when you have time-after school or job, after the kids are in bed, whenever!

I'm Cathy Johnson, and I've taught workshops on watercolor, watercolor pencil and field sketching from Maine to Nevada--and now internationally, online. I've authored many North Light books including Watercolor Pencil Magic, as well as The Sierra Club Guide to Painting in Nature.

Please check http://cathyjohnson.info for full particulars, supply list, and registration info.

This class uses Watercolor Pencil Magic or my new, more complete CD as a text, along with our lesson plans. The book is unfortunately out of print--for those who don't already own it, there is an inexpensive CD that includes even more than the original book--write kate@cathyjohnson.info for particulars.

Students are invited to join a class Flickr pool for sharing and feedback, and an alumni group for continued fellowship, sharing, and support. I hope you'll join us!

*Note: You'll need a computer with Adobe Reader, plus scanner or digital camera to post homework for instructor feedback. In order to take the classes, students MUST be proficient with these things--I'm not qualified to be tech support, sorry! You'll need to post your homework on your own website or other source like Flickr, where we can see and discuss them.
