This forum is a meeting place for ESOL and Basic Reading tutors, staff, and board members of Literacy of Northern NY. All three counties, Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence are represented. If you have questions about anything related to your tutoring experience, want to make a comment, are searching for resources, web links, ideas, tips, then we invite you to join.

Do you need ideas to motivate your student? Are you unsure about the materials you are using? Do you feel nervous about that first meeting with your student? What do you do when your student is a “no-show”? How do you know if you are giving effective tutoring?

Many tutors have expressed an interest in having a place to “meet” and share ideas and ask questions. Our very talented Basic Reading tutor, Carol Ann Badour, has set up this forum to meet those needs. Thank you, Carol!
