Washtenaw Skinnydippers live in or near Washtenaw County and are committed to helping develop naturism in Washtenaw County by helping to develop, promote, and improve naturist social activities and urging county government to provide clothing-optional recreation.

At this time, Washtenaw Skinnydippers are requesting of the county that it opens the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Building on Washtenaw Avenue to clothing-optional recreation on Saturday nights. The facility is currently closed then so use of the facility for clothing-optional recreation will not take away from current usage and opening it for clothing-optional use will help the county parks and recreation commission to better fulfill its mission of providing recreation not otherwise available in the county. We have had positive response so far and have met with park staff, but we do need your participation to move this along.

Washtenaw Skinnydippers is also asking that the parks commission either provide a clothing-optional beach in the county or sincerely and persistantly request or demand of the state's DNR to so provide such a beach.

Members of Washtenaw Skinnydippers agree to attempt to meet once a month to discuss, develop, and implement ideas and to socialize.

This particular Yahoo group for the Washtenaw Skinnydippers is the entranceway to the group, but it is not the group itself. By joining on this site, you will receive notices of the dates and times of our organizational meetings, but you will not be able to send messages to the group or access the members' directory and other features.

Our full Yahoo group, once you are admitted to it, will provide you with the ability to message the group and access the membership directory. To be admitted to the full group one must have attended an organizational meeting, agreed to the group's principles, paid a one time dues of $15, and provided a picture of yourself (portrait or whole body)and your address for the directory.
