Thanks to everyone who came out! I updated the WSCA website,

http://wscaonline.com/

with some pictures and winners. It's difficult relying on my memory without the
paperwork in front of me, so apologies if I messed anything up...it is right on
the paperwork.

I dumped all the pictures I took in the photobucket. There is a link to the
photobucket on the 2009 October page on WSCA website (yeah, need to drive up the
stats so go click on the link above!)

We had a club meeting and have a couple cool ideas baking =D

Mark your calendar for December 5, 2009. This will not be a UKC event, I
realized I didn't get an entry fee or pay out so will have to post later!

*****The Annual WSCA State Chamionship is December 19, 2009*****

Noon: FREE LUNCH! (yes it's really free, sides are welcome but not required at
all) Club members please get there at 11am to set up and cook. Would
appreciate anyone who can to bring a tent for people to sit under, it is usually
wet in December and there is no cover. Everyone bring camp chairs to sit on!

1PM: Deadline for Bench Show
3PM: Deadline for Field Trial
8PM: Deadline for Nite Hunt

Rosette ribbons for all winners and Championship winners get awesome trophies.

A free kid's bench show with prizes and awards will be held between the BS and
FT.

Thanks,
Libby

So what time do the events start on June 14th? What events and what is the
entry fee for each event? Is there an actual address? My puppy Bluetick will
be 6 months on the 14th so I thought she may like to come out and have some fun.
Let me know.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Just happened to look over on UKC upcoming events page, Our RQE comes
up under Washington's heading and says Yelm, WA...BUT...look at the
directions, they are to E.E. Wilson in Oregon.

I'm pretty sure the usually suspects who are coming understand it
will be held down at E.E. Wilson in Oregon. If this is a surprise to
you, talk to Nikki or me.

Reminder: an RQE NH is $30, as per UKC. The BS, which does qualify
one for the Bench Show at World, is the regular price.

Thanks,
Libby

I don't know why Photobucket won't keep my nice titles, maybe next
time I'll not title till I upload, but lack of patience precludes me
from renaming each one! You guys know who you are anyway. I'll
get some highlights posted on wscaonline.com later. I got some video
of the coon race, maybe I'll try uploading that to Photobucket, too.
Lesson learned was you can take video or pictures, but not both
terrible well. Jordan...send me the pictures off your camera please
(if they came out) I edited out where the video went sideways as I
tried using Jordan's camera, too!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our playday. Thanks Nikki for
talking about what a BSJ looks for and reviewing BS ediquette. Huck
sure loved pretending to be a showdog for an afternoon! Nikki made
some killer potato salad and Genny's fancy h'or d'oeuvres terrific.
Mandy landed a mighty fine drag and letting lose a dozen dogs on it
was amazing to watch!

What an cool and eclectic bunch of hounds showed up from as far south
as Terrebonne, OR and north as Sedro Woolly, WA (which ya gotta
admitt is fun as heck to say).

We had the biggest club meeting ever and decided to add AKC to WSCA.
The plan is to have AKC one day and UKC the next. This will allow
for more titled and sweet awards. We are having three summer events
at Matlock, one of which will include UKC events, too. An
interesting idea presented after the meeting was over was to supply a
school class, or few classes, with enough copies of Where The Red
Fern Grows to exposed kids to coonhounds, promote literacy and as a
show of community involvement and support from hounders.

Next month is officer elections.

The money hunt ratio was decided to be 100% payout, unfortunately no
money was paid out! But again, there were 8 dogs entered including a
little cur, sweet walker/BT, and fat old reddog in addition to UKC
Walkers, Redbone, Plott, and B&T and that's super. Getting out in
the woods with friends is always a good thing. Hope those who went
back to the woods later treed some.

Thanks again to everyone who came out. WSCA appreciates everyone's
support.

The RQE is in Bloodlines February edition, it's on page 263 at the top
of the page in a gray box. Since it is being held in Oregon, they put
it under Oregon's heading, but it states Washington State CHA. Please
pass the word around.

Thanks,
Libby

I got the pictures from Saturday on Photobucket.
http://s510.photobucket.com/albums/s350/WSCAonline/ I don't know if
I'd mentioned Decembers have been up there too. They still are but
are in the file named "December 2008". If anyone had linked them
somewhere, the link is now broken. I don't know why I left them in
the dump pile and didn't file them last month. Go re-link them, I
won't move them again.

Had 7 for the Field Trial, The Seymanski's Sky got grand final line
and Joseph Melson's April got grand final tree. Tia Seymanski's
Cowboy took both line and tree in his heat.

Bench Show report (11 entered):

Wentz's Aggie (red) won Ch of Ch female

Melson's Crockett (eng) won class & breed

Melson's Pearl (eng) won class & breed

Kennedy's Jake Branch Bubba (plt) won class, breed, show

Chase's Jaker (red) won class & breed

Milbourn's Rudy (red) won class & breed

Melson's Annie Oakley (red) won class

Chase's Spirit Girl (red) won class

Stirek's Country Girl (TW) won class, breed and show

The Nite Hunt had four entered, 2 champion and 2 registered dogs. It
was freezing cold and snow come again! There were, unfortunately, no
plus points.

Thanks to everyone who came out!

Up coming Events:

Next month we're having the bench show workshop, pot luck and money
hunt. No UKC events, but any dogs can come. The money hunt will
follow the UKC rules and a portion of the pot goes to high scorers.

February 14th MPHC has a BS and NH at E.E. Wilson.

The RQE is in March 13 & 14th down at E.E. Wilson. WA will be Friday
and Oregon Saturday. I'll try to get stuff on the calendar, but this
will wrap up the season. Gotta check notes before posting what's up
with the summer schedule at Matlock.

Stay safe and keep 'em treed!
Libby

2/7/08, 1/2 way between Rainier and Yelm, 3pm we'll have a bench show
clinic, pot luck club meeting afterwards, then a money hunt at 7pm.

This should be fun and all dogs are welcome as it is not a UKC event.

Thanks,
Libby
