Description

WHO WE ARE
The Warrendale Community Garden is an organization dedicated to community building and healthy living. We provide a safe gathering space for our youth, neighbors and friends coming together to learn about growing fruits, vegetables and ornamentals, promoting healthy eating and exercise while celebrating our diverse community, local arts and great cultures.

BENEFITS OF COMMUNITY GARDENING
Community garden benefits the entire community by promoting intergenerational learning and community building opportunities. They beautify neighborhoods. They provide opportunities for healthy living through good food and exercise. Our garden in Warrendale hopes to promote the arts and cultural aspects of our town as well. Financially, community gardens are shown to raise the home values and reduce crime. Finally, community gardens provide service opportunities and the Warrendale Garden will donate of portion of its produce to a local food bank.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
Please note that gardeners must reside and/or work within the Warrendale Community Borders / Cody-Rouge in order to be a part of the WCG.

Volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to help in any way - events, fundraising, Food Bank Coordination, Education, Newsletter, Garden Leadership, Classes, Workshops, Maintenance of the garden, and more- please contact us!
