Vote for the best AVA year-round/seasonal walks of 2009.

To submit your vote:
You may vote for up to three top walks within the United States.
Please do not vote for a walk sponsored by your own club, but you may
vote for any other year-round or seasonal walks.
Please include the walk's city, state, sanction number, and a brief
description of why it is the best.

Please use the online form at:
http://walking.about.com/u/ua/trails/topwalks2009.htm

If you don't have web access to use the form, I will accept the votes by
email. But I prefer to have folks use the form.

This is an unofficial vote whose results are published yearly on
Walking.about.com to promote volkssporting.

work to conduct the same kind of high-quality event we have hosted in
the past.

lots unless you have paid the proper fee and/or had explicit permission to

Awards & Fees:

A Award

Comments:

AWARD: The award for this event is a colorful suncatcher ornament featuring
a snowman with children enjoying the season. (Those receiving an award will
also receive IVV credit after they complete the walk and return their start
card.) Pre-registration will guarantee that you receive an award. Late
registrants may receive awards while supplies last. No additional awards
will be ordered. Awards from past events will be available for purchase at
reduced rates.

FEES: Each participant must carry a start card. There is no charge to
participate in this event. Registration for the award and credit is $17.00.
The fee for IVV credit only is $3.00.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Because of the large number and inconsistent operation of
special programs offered by the AVA and various clubs, this walk's
organizers cannot be sure for which programs this walk might qualify. We
suspect it qualifies for the following programs: Cemetery Stroll; Europe in
the United States; Historic Churches; and Riverwalk America. Because the
satisfaction of walkers is our foremost desire, we will stamp any special
program book that a walker feels is appropriate for this event. We urge
special program organizers to also place the highest-possible value on the
satisfaction of walkers involved in their programs.

to host this weekend event. We ask all volksmarchers to be patient as we
work to conduct the same kind of high-quality event we have hosted in
