This list is for the participants in the Wales/Cymru DNA Project, their family members, and all others interested in the history of Wales, the Welsh Patronymic naming system and the genetic heritage of Wales.

Thanks for the information , the general area of North East Wales covers a lot of ground and a great variety of past visits by different types of peoples.

My guess is that they have discovered Haplogroup E1b1b independently - following on from the article by Steve C. Bird in the JoGG in 2007. Haplogroup E3b1a2 as

Curiously, the article doesn't specify which "rare genetic make-up" or marker(s) are of interest. I wish they had! My family may well have come from that area,
