Also going on tomorrow is Braddah Mel's SUP surf and Surf Canoe contest at Makaha: benefit for the Dolan Brothers as they train for the Olympics. If you haven't been to a canoe surfing event, and are not paddling- come and see Hawaii's best watermen and women take on Makaha on stand up paddle surfboards and 4mam canoes.
Great to support Lanikai CC as they have always been good to us!
and make sure the cold pack you take is Corona!!!

Stacey and Andrew's friend, Flower, are going to offer an "extra"
session of X-fit tomorrow night at 5:30, usual place (by the monkey
bars across from Kaimanas). We are trying to keep the group somewhat
small and on the D.L. so as to not step on the toes of the dudes that
run the Tuesday/Saturday class. If there is enough participation and commitment,
Flower may continue to organize a Thursday workout. For those of us
that have been going to the Tuesday class, this is a great opportunity
to get a 2nd workout, since we are usually paddling on Saturday
mornings.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow night!
Cheers,
Lindsey
Andrea, could you forward this to the boys? Thanks :)
This is the last week to donate towards Movember. I've been rocking this mustache for too long. Please help me and my team by donating online at: http://us.movember.com/mospace/302526/ Your donations go towards Prostate Cancer Research and Live Strong. Our efforts have raised over $2000 so far this month with our last fund raiser event happening this Saturday at the Varsity. You can get details or see more at http://www.movemberhawaii.com/ Mahalo for your help!

PA'A early registration ends Wednesday night for this weekend's race. It doesn't hurt to pre-register, it's $5 cheaper and you pay the morning of the race so nothing lost if you pre-reg then decide not to race. For those looking for a low stress first race, this may be the one for you. Wind is predicted to be very mellow. See race details on PA'A website listed below.
If you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to go to www.paahawaii.com and pre-register by this Wednesday for the Toys for Tots race happening this Saturday December 5th. Pre-reg $22 and normal reg $27. If you are 90-100% sure you’re gonna race, please register so that we can get an accurate food count for our ‘Umeke market lunch sponsor. Awards following the race and prize drawing for a brand new Makana Ali’I prototype paddle and Maui Jim Sunglasses.
You are not obligated by entry to do so, but if you have any toys that you would like to donate for Christmas, our registration table will be accepting them to support our Hawaii kids in need (Toys for Tots accepts only unwrapped toys).
As for the race course, it is currently scheduled for a Hawaii Kai run, but we will try to plan an alternate course if our trades get hijacked come this weekend. We also have some fun obstacle course ideas in mind if the wind is completely absent -- basically, we’re shooting for a fun course no matter what and we don’t want anyone to have to do a dreadfully hard paddle just before the Holidays. Here’s the part where we take suggestions on what you consider fun for a course, so if you have an idea (that’s not too crazy), send it to us in a reply email.

Some of us "regulars" (if you can call us that after one month) to CrossFit on Tuesdays are skipping today due to the fantabulous winds and our desire to do screaming Hawaii Kai runs instead. Therefore, we will be doing CrossFit, on our own, tomorrow at 5:30. So if you can't make it today and want to join our little pirate-CrossFit group tomorrow (Wednesday 5:30) let me know!
Also, for anyone that takes vitamins, Longs on Waialae in Kaimuki has their NatureMade brand half off.
For everyone racing tomorrow that wants to carpool... A bunch of us are meeting at the boat house at 7:30 AM. Most likely, most of us are going to leave cars at boat house and back to boat house after the race ends at Kaimana.
Speaking of one man's...The bag of hardware for the Club One Man's has vanished.
If you are aware of where that hardware currently resides, it would benefit
everyone to see that it is returned.
as always we have way more boats than spots. there is a race this weekend and spots should go to paddlers who race. if you have a one man in the halau, i would encourage you to race each race to help keep your current spot or allow another paddler to occupy the space.
I am training for oc 1 season and have a canoe in the halau -Jason

Throughout the season the box under our tree has collected clothes,
goggles, slippers and other miscellaneous items. There are even a few
paddles in there that we aren't sure who the owners are. A lot of new
people are using the box right now since we are running social
paddling, so if there is something in the box that may belong to you, now
is the time to claim it. On that note, if anyone has any old
paddles that they aren't using anymore, we would be happy to take them
off your hands to lend to new paddlers!
~Rachel
p.s. FYI, tomorrow's social paddle will be at 3pm in honor of Veterans
Day.

I have $63 left over from Molokai dinner money. Would a keg of refreshments be an adequate appropriation of these funds? And any left over $ going towards Popeye's chicken? Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile

This Saturday 11/7 we will conduct our Men's Program 2009 wrap-up meeting. Topics will include a review of the season's performance, goals for 2010 and what we'll be doing in the meantime to make them happen. 12 PM start time will give everyone plenty of time to get in your long weekend paddles beforehand. We will need the following items if anyone wants to take charge: 1. Grill (Mo?) 2. Product (Sweaz?) 3. Nostalgic slideshow (Patrick N?) See everyone there- PS
