Welcome to the Washington Alpine Club email list, where WACers blab about climbing on line. Anybody can send mail to this list: waclist@yahoogroups.com, but you must be a currently-paid-up WAC member to receive the mail.

How to join: Click the Join This Group button. If you don't already have a Yahoo ID, you will need to create one. This is a pain, but it is Yahoo's only price to host this group, so suck it up. When you sign up, in the comment section, please tell us your name. Do not just say "I am a current WAC member" without giving us your name in the comments. We only approve folks who are members of the WAC. If we can't tell who you are from your email address, and you don't tell us who you are, we'll decline your request.

Once you've joined, here are the posting rules: Please only post messages directly related to the club, climbing, or conservation issues that affect climbers. We all appreciate posts for open climbs or work parties. You can post trip reports here, or you can add them to the WAC trip report archive and the WAC site will offer you the option to mail your report to this list as well. Roommate postings and gear-for-sale posts are fine. General political opinions are not. Please don't send chain mails or spam.
