This group is intended to facilitate communication among Pacific Northwest ham radio operators interested in experimentation and utilization of digital communication modes over ham radio. We will use FLDIGI, MultiPSK, Ham Radio Deluxe, RMSExpress and EASYPal or other packages for digital communications on the ham bands.

The files section features instructions for a wide range of software. Check out these files and Blog Posts from "The Summer of Digital Fun 2009".

Modes range from Highspeed meteor scatter to QRSS morse code or using JT65 and WSPR for communication 20+ dB below the noise. Of specific interest to emergency communicators is EasyPAL and the NBEMS suite with FLDIGI. Both will give error-free transmission of digital images or ANY TYPE OF FILE ON YOUR COMPUTER. Packet Radio sections include sound-card packet setup using Flex32, AGW Packet Engine or hardware TNCs to access worldwide messaging using WinLink2000 through Airmail or PacLink. Puget Sound Digital Hams, another Yahoo group, exists to help you get on the air with FLDIGI and FLMSG. We practice each Monday Evening at 8:00pm on WW7SEA, 444.550, 141.3tone in Seattle. Come up on frequency with FLDIGI running and we will help you from there.

The weekly Educational Radio Net is on Hiatus from the 146.96 PSRG machine (tone 103.5). Weekly Packet Radio Nets continue on the SEA node in Seattle on 145.010MHz using the TALK feature at 7:00pm local Sundays. Practice on other modes between.
