A Group of North American Volunteers & 9-11 Volunteers

who are on-line in hopes of providing support for

other Professional Disaster Volunteers and Community

Volunteers. We hope that this chat room & forum for

the Volunteer will help us discuss our goals, aims &

needs. We believe this will also be an on-line support

tool in the Volunteer's efforts to network & potentially

fill in the gap that exists for "peer support" for the

professional and community volunteer. Even if we attain some of these

goals, it will help in the Volunteer retention effort.

The Group - "Volunteers for Volunteers" is now an invitation only Group.

One of my personal

goals is have a large dorm unit in Southern California to

house the Volunteer who needs housing so they can continue

to work for their chosen charity and/or work to solve the

housing problem for volunteers. This Dorm unit could be

part office and part dorm. Later, The Dorm/Office could

work as an E.O.C. for deployment.
