I started this page for missing and those looking for families lost in katrina. The site is growing rapidly regardless of hurdles we have to face each and every day. At first I dedicated this site to our little boy that looper, nancy and I found after he was airlifted from a roof in New Orleans, since then I have decided to also dedicate it to all survivors and perished loved ones, all rescuers and all volunteers that have so generously taken their time to help in this over whelming task. I would also like to dedicate this site to people searching houses and pulling people from deep water, flooded houses, risking their own lives to strangers to give them a second chance at survival. I especially would like to thank the volunteers on this board we are facing overwhelming odds everyday but we carry on. Some days we have victory stories, others days we have sad stories of loss and destruction. I would like to add a poem submitted by one of our members that says it all so clearly..Keep the faith,Jan
One of God's littlest angels
With the purest of heart
Watched down from the heavens
As the hurricane formed from the start
She saw its great destruction
She felt the peoples fear
Her little heart was breaking
And she shed an angel's tear
She turned to the Father
She simply ask Why ?
The Lord held her close
And from his heart came a sigh
In a special way my child
The earth is alive
And as nature takes its course
Some don't survive
Those that have perished
Felt their pain cease
They're now with us in heaven
And will forever know peace
Those that have survived
Will rebuild and grow strong
Because of what they've learned now
Others will live long
