| hah, that was me you quoted. I was questioning what the other person was saying in this article (http://www.bibleguidance.co.za/Engarticles/Contemplation.htm) that as a Christian, it is not right to seek God from the inside. I was pointing out that this is a contradiction from what the bible tells us. I was taught that when I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, that the Holy Trinity comes and dwells in my heart and spirit. So for him to say that seeking God within us is deification of ourselves, that is a contradiction. I only know from the Christian point of view on this subject, and I appreciate you filling us in from your end of this practice. I am finding more and more that there are people who dabble in faith, and few that truly and fully practice what they believe. It also seems that people like to "teach" on other religions that they themselves do not practice or know that much about. You do have Christian denominations that do not believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and that they are not for today, and that any kind of "supernatural" experience is not of God. Again, this is a contradiction from the bible itself, but you know how people can spin things to make it all make sense to what they want to believe. I think you make a very good point in that just turning off inner dialogue does not make us spiritual beings. A very good point, Brad, thank you. You always bring good stuff to our group. juni --- On Mon, 7/6/09, LORDPIGFACE1@... <LORDPIGFACE1@...> wrote:
