Hello, not sure but you might be able to get drawing of #24 from older issues of the NG Gazette, they contain many drawings by Gary Caviglia. Rick

The contract has been awarded to Granite Construction to fill in the
Pit, construction is expected to begin in April. At the last
Commission meeting it was ordered to obtain all the property needed
to complete to line into Carson City and not wait until "phase I"
was completed as was the intent by Carson City's last mayor (the
Commission Chairman)who is no longer on the Commission.
A steam locomotive has also been purchased to run on the completed
line.
We're on our way!

I presume you are on good terms with the folks at the museum. When
Kyle was there they had files on a number of the locomotives (not
sure if that goes beyond engines in their collection, but I imagine
it did). The main museum also has photos.

Does anyone have information and or original photos of the V&T Motor
Cars?
I am trying to write a book on the V&T Locomotives and motive power
as a fund raising project for the Northern Nevada Railway Foundation
(www.steamtrain.org) and need any help I can get.
Those offering info I use will get credit for such.

Do you think there would be interest in (i.e. a market for) a
reprint of Karl Koenig's book "Virginia & Truckee Locomotives" with
updates as to the current disposition of the locomotives.
See Photo. This carved wooden Locomotive is being raffled off by
the Northern Nevada Railway foundation. If interested you can find
out more about it on their web site. www.steamtrain.org
The three trucks carring the bridge sections left Las Vegas Friday
morning, they stopped in Henderson for the night and came the rest
of the way into Carson City Saturday morning. Bragg Crane Service
unloaded them this morning. I will post pictures of the unloading
as soon as I can.
Due to the rising cost of printing the Northern Nevada Railway
Foundation will have to start requesting a $20 subscription fee for
the quarterly publication The V & T Gazette. This subscription fee
will allow us to continue providing you with information on the V &
T of the past and the continuing efforts to complete the
construction down to Carson City. It will also allow us to improve
the publication.
The foundations executive director has returned from Las Vegas. All
the spans of the bridge should be on the trucks, painted and ready
to be on their way to Carson City, via hwy 95 & 50 by late this week
or next. Will keep you updated on their progress. In the mean
time, sometime next week pictures of the bridge spans and their
removal from I-15 in Las Vegas should be posted on the Foundations
web site: www.steamtrain.org.
The Executive Director for the Northern Nevada Railway Foundation will be following the bridge on its trip taking pictures and video all the way. I will post them as soon as possible. In the mean time, you may log on to the Foundations web site (www.steamtrain.org) and keep updated on the project.

In the next couple of weeks the former UP bridge (all 3 spans) from
I-15 in Las Vegas will be transported to Carson City. It will be
stored on property next to Highway 50 East of town. It will
eventually span Highway 50 in the Moundhouse area. Will send post
when the date is confirmed.
Hello from Lynchburg Virginia: I believe the car you are looking for is MDCcRoundhouse 36' V&T Boxcar # 78 . This is a rare item to find. I've been searching for almost 2 years for it. Last time there was one on ebay it ended up going for well over $ 78.00.. I do have some dubs of other MDC V&T stock. Let me know what your looking for. Will also keep my eyes peeled for # 3005. I need one as well. Garyc

is mid 2003 for 75 models total anticipated price around $495. also
Beaver creek awhile back made the engine 25 in brass it was a nice
model. I am sure you are familar with the PFM series of the Genoa.

Started back into the hobby after 35 years. Is there anyway to get
information on some of the V&T model equipment and locomotives that
have been produced during the last 20 or so years. I've found three
of the 4-4-0 and one 2-6-0. Any help would be appreciated.
