Appearently, I misunderstood. i was of the impression that "NEW" meant "current
songs" released on 45 rpm.
Yes, there about 50 places that still press "REPROS". While many produce
excellent "copies", there are some that reproduce 3rd/4th generation tunes. Many
of these are in the UK, Gremany, and Japan. Appearently, they don't have access
to "originals or masters".
If you are collectioning these "REPROS", they average about $6 each. but don't
expect there value to climb much for at least 20 yrs. I say this because there
was a HUGE REPRO release in the mid 70s-early 80s(I'm sure that Stan can attest
to this)1000's of "hi dollar 45s" were Reproed on VINYL!! Not Styrene A copy
of Boppin High School Baby, Sattelite 101 on VINYL goes for about 20 bucks. The
original is around $1500!!
