The pipe was $274 or so I think and with labor and "shop supplies" out the
door, it was around $440. Ah you welders have it made. That's how it goes
with car repairs, some are worse than others. I try to do as much as I can so
hopefully it all averages out a bit. And it never helps when it's in the dead

I did my Flex Pipe last year, cut it both sides with electric saw, and welded in
place the new flex pipe.

Jeff, mine was cheap and easy to replace. I took one hard look at it
and drove over to SIL's and said "hey, I got a job for you". So far
the rest of the pipe is still OEM but its in TN now and out of the
rust belt.
