Re: [villagerquest] Re: Heater hose and coolant hose diagrams in photo section

I have Regatta II's and love them. Very hard tread compound for long wear, not
great in the snow but acceptable. They stopped making them. Tire rack.com has
good tire comparisons and ratings.

The GF's V has Goodyear Regatta II's, and mine has Kuhmo's, but I
can't say what style without going outside right now. Nothing real
fancy, though.

The performance on real slippery stuff is better than smaller,
lighter cars...like my kids Saturns and Hondas, but not as good as a
4x4, of course...and more aggressive tires would help, too.

But for running in snow, the good ground clearance, good weight on
the front end, and the "vantage" point of sitting up high all make
my V one of the better non-4X4 rigs I've driven up here in
Wisconsin. I can drive in 12" or more of snow with no problem. You
have to be "aggressive" about it, and keep your foot in it, but so
far (knock on wood) I've never got stuck. The only car I liked more
in snow was my 73 Saab 99, 4 speed w/manual steering.

My best,
Dan
