After having served my Country for thirty five years, beginning with three
tours of Nam and being a POW for six months in a jungle camp, and ending with
my final tour in Desert Storm; I can honestly say that we have the finest
trained military in the world. But, I can say, that it is and should be the
duty of every young man and woman to serve their country for a small amout of
time. It may put a stop to some of the problems, which our youth face on the
streets today. They will be subjected to a form of disipline, which most could
use in their future lives. If they can prove that they are not willing to go
into the military, then they should have to go into a organization such as the
Peace Corps or other such organization, which helps this Country and the people
of the world. I just wish, that I could be with my young Marines in Iraq, but
the five purple hearts and the problems, which they cause are now showing their
ugly faces. But, if possible, I would learn
to drive my wheelchair in the sand. To all of the Men and women in Iraq I send
my personal thanks, and to the Marines I send a special SEMPER FIDELIS.
Dear MGeneralUSMCRet:
I will only aslk this once. If you do not respond, I will ask the FBI via the
US Attorney's office to investigate under the recently passed Bill titled
"The Stolen Valor Act".
You can read about it here: http://www.want2be.info
1. What is your full name?
2. When were you held PoW?
3. Branch of Service when PoW
4. How were you repatriated? and dates
Do not send me an alias for a name. The FBI can require AOL provide your
identity unser the above act.
and thats the way it is. If you are a real deal you will not be offended
and will provide what is asked above.
