Greetings!

This private group is for friends of Videowest, the San Francisco TV studio that created a new genre of music video journalism in the early eighties.

If you were part of that madcap adventure and care to share the memories, please join us and say hello. Life is short. Friendships and good memories are what make it worthwhile.

This is a great place for us to reconnect with old pals and stay in touch. We'll also use this group to plan our next reunion, and transfer our video archives in digital format.

Please take a moment to honor the memory of Joe Ohliger, who passed away in January 2008, after a 6 month struggle with lymphoma. He had managed to turn it around, with a little help from his friends - but was caught off guard by a sudden complication. In more ways than one, Joe was 'the soul of Videowest', the connective tissue that held us together. We're sorry he's gone, but his story will live on through us, each time we meet and bring back his memories. In the meantime, check Fab's latest photos of Joe O on Flickr.
