Dear
Please join
me this Thursday, June 4th at noon on the State House Lawn for a
press conference/rally to celebrate the “Right to Dry” component of
the new renewable energy bill.
A NEGEF
grantee, Project Laundry List, has been working for ten years to get right to
dry legislation passed in VT and across the country. CBS, the NYT and
others will be here. See the attached press release for more
details.
Lyman
Orton, Orton Foundation, has taken the right to dry issue on and wants to help
promote this need. Just learned today that even Murray Hill condo owners,
before passage of the bill, were prohibited from hanging their laundry
outside. So, it’s current for our near neighbors.
The
Orton/VT Country Store media organizers would love some “bodies,”
so please bring your lunch, come enjoy the sun and maybe you will even be
interviewed by Bill Geist, the CBS gadfly tongue-in-cheek reporter who’s
very funny stories appear on CBS’ Sunday Morning.
Thanks and
hope to see you….
