Dawn:
I apologize for the imprecise question.
The vet is retired and receiving “100% disabled” payments from the VA. If she
is goes to a VA nursing home, she has been told, then the VA will pay 100% of
the VA nursing home costs. My question is whether she will be required to
spend down to be eligible for the VA SNF benefits. I know that she would have to
spend down to be eligible for civilian SNF benefits, but I don’t know if the same
applies to a VA SNF.
TIA for your attention to this.

What do you mean "on 100% disability" and
"get 100% nursing home payments"? Dawn
If someone is on 100% disability, will they get 100% nursing
home payments regardless of assets or do the asset restrictions apply? Amy D. Drehmel,
