Strictly speaking, you don't have to replace the sprockets (although some people will argue to re-using old sprockets will accelerate wear of the new chains)....

yes thank you i did it a slightly diferant way, i bolted a plate onto the timing gear let it touch the floor and used a huge t-bar to undo it an absolute cow...
