You can probably buy a new one from:

Prestige Vauxhall
Unit 1/West Line Ind Est, Birtley, Chester le Street, DH2 1AU

   a.. Tel:0191-411 1231
Phone and speak to Colin. He sent me a new one. They cost about £40 because of
the magnetic sender for thecoolant level.

HUGE VIRUS COMING ! PLEASE READ & FORWARD !

Hi All,

I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus!
I checked Snopes, and it is for real. Get this E-mail message sent around
to all your contacts ASAP.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS!

You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with
an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,'regardles s of who sent it
to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the
whole hard disc C drive of your computer.

This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address on
his/her contact list. That is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to
all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to
receive the virus and open it!

If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even if it is sent to you by a
friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the
worst virus announced by CNN.

It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet
for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the
Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

COPY THIS E-MAIL, AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS.
REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM, YOU WILL BENEFIT ALL OF US

I would recommend caution before forwarding emails such as the "Virus Warning"
sent to the Senny group, however well intentioned, without checking their
authenticity first.
The "huge virus" is in fact a scam email and only serves to alarm people.
Provided you have an anti-virus program installed, such as AVG Free, there isn't
anything to worry about.

Please see article below;

A hoax. The Postcard from Hallmark virus hoax is a knock-off on the old A
Virtual Card for You hoax. The Postcard from Hallmark hoax includes a link to a
Snopes article which is worded in such a way that it appears the hoax warning is
legitimate. It isn't. While greeting card scams do exist, they don't bear any
resemblance to what's outlined in the hoax. Following is one example of the
Postcard from Hallmark virus hoax:

Hi Terry

Well, she's gone now, together with a large box of spares. I do hope Derek
Thomson can keep her on the road and I get to spot her around from time to
time! At least it's all gone to a good home.

Yes, that No.6 compression was me turning the cam when I shouldn't have
done. Oooops - just goes to show that you shouldn't trust a timing chain
replacement on 24V to a novice like me. (I'd never ever want to do all that
again!)

Glad you're still with the V6s, and thanks for all your support over the
years

Cheers
John

Hi John,
sad to hear you are moving on from your Senators. I recall your heroic head
gasket job, and the trouble you had when you got it running first time after
gasket change and found no compression in no. 6 cylinder. Thanks again for
the spares you let me have, one of which you retrieved from Midsomer Norton
to leave your good lady warm.

I now run six assorted Omegas for my family. Not quite as sweet as
Senators, nor as fast, but not as rusty either. V6 engines crammed into
shorter bonnets make for difficult repairs. It's no wonder the police did
not like them as much as the Sennys.

Best wishes,

Terry

Hi Terry

The only thing stopping me from keeping my Senny on the road is that two
windows have packed up and one is stuck in the open postion.

I'm told that its the capacitors that have probably gone, can you or anyone
else tell me which part of the motor assembly these are on and where I might
get some ones that work.

Many thanks

Hi Terry

The only thing stopping me from keeping my Senny on the road is that two
windows have packed up and one is stuck in the open postion.

I'm told that its the capacitors that have probably gone, can you or anyone
else tell me which part of the motor assembly these are on and where I might
get some ones that work.

Many thanks

Hi John,
sad to hear you are moving on from your Senators. I recall your heroic head

gasket change and found no compression in no. 6 cylinder. Thanks again for

Dear all

Just to let you know that I have finally given up on my beloved 1992 24V
senny and have agreed to pass it on to Derek of GM6 Spares near Penzance for
a nominal sum next week. He' plans to make it MOTable again and I'm so
happy that it's not going to dump for scrap. After lovingly doing the
chains and guides, as well as head gasket and reseating all the valves at
115K the engine is running as sweet as new at 148K. It's only the exhaust
and tyres at end of their life that's stopping me from further investing.
And there's nothing major for MOT as far as I know.

Just in case, if by any remote chance anyone else is particularly interested
in coming all the way down to Cornwall (Porthtowan, nr Truro) to buy it
instead (taxed, no MOT, drives fine), and can tempt me with a good offer,
you'd better let me know quick as I'm quite keen for Derek to have it now!

I'd like to truly thank everyone for all the totally invaluable help over
the 18 years I've had my two Sennies.

As far as which car can possibly by a good replacement for a Senny, I've
been wondering for a long time - but I just been handed on a 2003 Ford
Mondeo 2ltr Ghia. Thinking that it would just be a basic people's car I've
been exceptionally impressed with the quality of drive and performance. And
with fuel economy much better, although I would never have considered it,
I'm very happy with it as 2nd best to the Senny!

All the best, and again, many thanks
John Jamieson

The red clips are spoken for (waiting for the cheque), however I do still
have 1 pump gasket, the wiper motor and both computers.

Gasket £5 all in posted (might take a while to get there with postal strikes
though), send over a cheque (will email address and number off line).

Hi, yes i do... call me and we can talk.

However i am keeping most of the dedicated Senator mags, unless you can
offer me something i cant refuse. Most are combined brochures with the
Senator in them, however i am sure i have at least 1 thats Senator only (had
2 of them).

Many Thanks
