For those of you who follow my family line, my mother’s sister died on Monday.  She is a Moses Preston descendant & her lines are below. 

 

Darrell – she is Johnson County born buried elsewhere.. 

 

Obituary – Dayton Daily News, Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Davis, Doris age 80, of New Lebanon, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Sterling Davis. Doris is survived by her children, Sterling Davis, Jr., Vicky Root, Debra (Ron) Richards, Paul (Tammy) Davis, Rick (Rhonda) Davis, and Steve (Lisa) Davis; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; 5 brothers, and her church family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, whom will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at New Lebanon Church of the Nazarene, 176 N. Johnsville - Brookville Rd. Pastor Stan Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
