Have you ever wondered why mopeds, and the moped industry, which was very strong
in the 1970's and early 1980's, largely disappeared from North America?
Yet, the manufacture of electric bikes, in China, climbed from less than 2
million units in 2002, to a reported 18 million units in 2007/2008. (source:
Business in Vancouver magazine.)
What can we do to bring back the mopeds, that we had such fun with, in in our
younger years? A Vancouver inventors' club is looking for (equipment and/or
monetary) sponsors for the club's next experiments, which will likely be as
heavily-publicized as its previous successes, such as the club's 2009 major
project, the "Tap Water Powred Scooter".
If you know of anybody, or any company, that would like to see these
invented/improved/perfected, please have them look into the club's 10+ other
"impossible" developments and creations.
This Vancouver invention-centered club intends to pursue these furutre projects:
- A wind-turbine, on a trailer, charging an electric bike or electric scooter as
it moves
- A photovoltaic (solar) trailer/generator that will be charging an electric
bike or electric scooter as it moves
- Add a fuel-cell to an EU-approved "clean burning" 2-stroke scooter to boost
its power
- Add a fuel-cell to a 4-stroke (considered underpowered by the public) scooter
50cc scooter to boost its power

Did you notice how much free publicity the Keeway scooter company got out of
their 50cc sponsorship scooter?
As the world's most prestigous scooter magazine ar"Twist & Go" magazine says,
this Vancouver inventors' club's fuel cell may just herald a breakthrough that
could save the much-maligned 2-stroke engine from extinction. This Vancouver
inventors club's dyno test proved that a fuel-cell improved power by a net gain
of 25% while reducing the typical 2-stroke "smelly smoke".
On the subject of climate change crisis, the environment and sustainability, how
did the Keeway 50cc Tap Water Powered Scooter save trees? The newspapers and a
magazine said it all. Please check out the links below:
