I've had a lot of people ask me about Team Race PCCs lately and I
haven't had great answers so I don't want rumors going around.  But
hears the deal, it's down at Stanford, umpires are organized, yes Jay is
going to be out of the country, but he's getting everything together,
but he's not going to start getting serious until he see's entry
forms(see attached).  This is not an event where you can submit entry
forms one week ahead of time.  It's almost one month to the event and no
entry forms have been received so please get your entry forms in.  There
will be no last minute entries since the organizer will be out of the
country, rotation has to be done well in advance.  Don't slack, I've
heard lots of interest for this event and it's going to be a good one as
long as people get their entry forms in.

Here's the NOR for the 2007 Team Race PCCs.  Boats are provided,
rotating off docks in sunny and warm Palo Alto with flat water and
consistent breeze.  Great venue for team racing, hope you can make it.

The Team Race PCCs is being postponed from it's orginal date of April
21-22 due to scheduling conflicts.  The new date is July 28-29, more
information to follow, but the plan is to have it at Stanford with boats
provided.  We have already contacted all the teams that were planning on
doing it and the new date seems to work better for almost everyone.

I regret to inform you that I will no longer be maintaining the V15 SoCal
website (www.v15socal.org).  If someone would like to continue maintaining it,
please let me know.  Here is what would be required to keep the website going:

- Pay registration's annual fee (currently registered through register.com)
- Take over database/pages maintenance (hosting and source code kindly sponsored
by Paul Deeds).

Unless someone takes ownership of the website, it will become unavailable after
Feb 24th.

Hey Andy,

good to hear from you. I have a boat that is gathering dust in my garage and
would love to get out there this summer.

I'll give Eric a call and see if can help put together a schedule. Eric?? :)

Anyway, I'm up for anything and will probably be working for my self this summer
so should be able to take off for weekends up north too.

Keep me posted and I'll see you on the water and even buy ya beer after the
races ;)

Hi everyone, the Bay Area Babes are heading to the Schenck this weekend
except one of our boats just dropped out due to work.  Know anyone who

We were waiting to see if to see if you got some more sign-ups and planning
on bringing the boat down from Santa Barbara, but 3 boats doesn't make a
regatta.

regatta?


Hey Fleet,

One week to go until Goslings Rum Vanguard 15 Bay Champs at TISC.  SIGN UP on
the Vanguard 15 website (http://www.vanguard15.org/schedule/?r=282) so I can
provision appropriately for the Saturday evening post-race BBQ and cocktail
party.  That should be incentive by itself to take a minute to sign up and,
optionally post an amusing comment on the regatta page, but here’s one more. 
The good folks at Goslings have very generously come through with very stylish
and functional Goslings hats (far harder to come by than those other rum hats). 
The first 15 Vanguards to sign up on the website will get dibbs on hats for
skipper and crew.  Collectors items to be sure.  The last few years has seen 18
or 20 boats signed up so beat the rush.

Details to follow, but there will be an optional racing clinic (dry land) on
Saturday morning starting ~10am and skipper’s meeting will be approx 12:00 or
12:30.  BBQ and drinks to follow Saturday night.

Also, there has been some last minute interest from Lasers to have a start,
which we can accommodate if we have 5+ boats.  If you’re a laser and want to
sail, sign up on the site and we’ll make a call on whether we have enough
boats later this week

See you on Saturday.
