This group is for families living on Vancouver Island, BC who are implementing a leadership education model in their home. This method is described in "A Thomas Jefferson Education" by Oliver Van DeMille. Our mission is to teach and inspire a generation of leaders with a love of God, country, community and family. Our methods are based on five pillars that have trained great leaders in history: God, Mentors, Classics, Simulations and Field Experiences.

Our goals are 1) to create a community of dedicated citizens who exemplify leadership education to the rising generation, and 2) to follow the Seven Keys of Great Teaching in “A Thomas Jefferson Education” by Oliver deMille

This site will be used to post upcoming TJEd conferences, V.A.L.E. events, Adult Scholar classes, Book Discussions, Introductory Meetings and information regarding our various Love of Learning and Scholar classes for youth.

This group is open to people of all faiths. We encourage all group members to participate from their core faith based beliefs and world views. All posts are to be positive and helpful in order to continue in our group.
