We have two e-mail lists for UUCT, the list for church purposes and this one for Social Action Issues. HOPE and CUUPS will still be on the church e-mail list. The purpose of the Social Action list is to make available for discussion any news that is in reference to SA (social action). We can post announcements about meetings, actions, and steps that people can do if they want to take action about a subject. There are always letters to write, ideas to share, meetings to attend, places to go and ideas to express. This will also be a place to discuss issues. We want to give everyone a voice. You can also share an organization's web site address. That way people who are interested can go to the site and join.

Any of you on the e-mail list will be able to post and comment on anything on this SA list. It would be most helpful if the SUBJECT reflects the TYPE of Social Action the e-mail discusses. If something is time sensitive, such as a meeting or action in a few days, then put that in the subject or put level of importance as high so people will know.

The UUCT e-mail list is an open list in that we have church members and church friends as subscribers. It is not open to everyone in the public in that a person has to request subscription and the request has to be approved. The UUCT list is for personal and church announcements, information and requests for information, and church discussions. It is not for soliciting business.

The expectations for the e-mail lists are that all participants be cordial and treat each other with respect. If there is a disagreement, the discussion will be respectful. If anyone abuses the list by inappropriate messages, the managers will address the problem with the subscriber directly. Continued inappropriate messages will result in the person being dropped. A request for review of deletion from the list may be sent to the Board of Trustees.
