I was just wondering who is still here and what characters are you
playing.  If you're not playing a character, what character would
you like to play?

I'm going to say you all have 4 weeks to respond (accept for Sailor
Determined, of course, since she's still bouncing as far as I can
tell), after that those who haven't responded will lose their
characters and they'll go back into the abyss of unclaimed
characters.  And believe me, there they will be very, very lonely
and very, very bored until someone else claims them.

Sorry for the sinister tone of this, but my brain is starting to get
into the Halloween scene 3 months late.  Call it extremely delayed
registering of time.

I'm Callistocharon (Calli, for short) and I play C-ko, Nanami and
Chiye (a made up character).

I had a dream where I was Mikage, walking around campus giving out
roses as memorials to those who died.  When I came upon my grave of
Professor Nemuro, I asked Akio if he remembered who Nemuro was.  He
said no, and I was very depressed because of that. ^^;

Then I tried to cook something and set a fire in the oven, which
melted a pan that went into a dreain beneath the stove. ^^;

I've been watching too much lately, methinks.

In any case, I got vol 2 yesterday and Juri loving Touga is jsut
wierd.

I've been saying that Anthy has been getting bad premonitions.
Also, thank you for complementing our posts! (You must not have read
mine...lol) I do like the movie Anthy better, because she's alot more
like me ^.^ than the anime one.

"Have you no decency?" Miki called out from a distance to Shiori.  He
hadn't originaly intended to hound her, but once the party dispersed,
he became fully aware of the humiliation he shared with Juri.  Had he
been there a moment earlier, had he shown up to the party on time, if
he would have re-scheduled his appointment about the Mikage Seminar,
he would have been able to do something before his friend was scorned
by what had seemed to be her friend.  While he knew in his heart he
wasn't to blame, he felt guilty for not taking action to protect her.

He walked up to Shiori, his eyes glassy.  "I don't know what led you
to do what you did, but you should have taken it out in the private
arena.  Such behavior is not to be seen in public places.  You
disprespected a Juri and your host--two student council members.  You
should show more respect in the future."

Despite his brave words, he was quivering in fear.  What am I doing?
he thought.  This isn't my place.  What was I thinking?  I'll
antagonize the situation.  Will I?  But something needed to be done.
Something needed to be done.  Something...

Meanwhile, Souji Mikage loomed over an aquarium, a single black rose
placed in the middle.

"Ow!" Mamiya yelped as he touched it.

"I thought I told you to be careful," Mikage said nonchalantly as he
took Mamiya's hand.  "The more beautiful the rose, the more dangerous
it's thorns."  He took Mamiya's finger and sucked the blood away
gently.  "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

"I was observing it," Mamiya said softly.  "A poison seems to be
infecting it."

"So it is."  Mikage released Mamiya's hand.  "We will only be able to
use it when the poison is throughout the entire rose.  It's not quite
ready yet.  The enthusiasm it represents must fully parish."  He
stepped away.  "I will be stepping out now.  I'll be back before
long."

Mikage stepped outside then paused to look at the night sky.  He
wondered if his beloved dean was observing them right now.  Ah, but
Nanami was throwing that party, of course he wasn't.  He was probably
looking over Sakura, making sure Nanami didn't squeeze the life out
of her.

He was somewhat dissapointed that another rosebride appeared, but if
he must kill her too, so be it.  It's something he actually wanted to
bring to the attention of Ends of the World, he didn't really want
shed more blood than was absolutely necessary, and he wanted to be
100% sure of what he must do before he set his plan into action.

What a strange nickname that was, Ends of the World.  It's not as
though Mikage didn't know who he was, he was approached directly by
him.

Ah well, he might as well get it over with, at least schedule some
kind of appontment.

He took off for Nanami's party.

didn't want to keep him a recluse. ^^; ))

noog, shiori IS already taken.. im running out of options here
^^;; .. anyway this post is to let you know that i am going to japan
2 moro for 5 weeks , and iont know how often i'll b able to actually
find net access... so yeah ... i will be back in the RPG posting ..
with a character.. as of the 8th of January.. till then have fun!!!!!

That just has to suck like nothing else.  When I get some extra money
for X-mas from not having to shell out so much for food, I'm hoping
to get the series in vcd format from ebay or something, or at least
borrow the entire series again from my friend to get better copies.
If I do get either of those, I'd be willing to copy the vcds or give
her the ep copies I have now.  The Black Rose saga is so interesting,
I dont think anyone should be without it =)

In the meantime, I will be more than happy to answer any questions
regarding it.

Okay, I've updated the summary of the plot so far and the characters
taken file.  Also I've updated the current story file.  Uh, does
anybody remember who's playing who until SD gets back (of her
characters)?  I think I'm supposed to be playing Wakaba, but I don't
quite remember...  ^.^'

I forgot to mention that Mikage's intent is to kill Anthy and make
Mamiya the rosebride.  That's how he can grasp eternity for him.  The
only way he can be a rosebride is if Anthy is dead.  Every black rose
says before the duel--

"I swear upon this black rose that I will defeat the engaged and kill
the rosebride!"

That's why I was asking about Sakura before ^^;

End of the World(aka Akio) does send letters to Mikage acknowledging
Mikage's plan, and killing Anthy has been sanctioned to make Mamiya
the rosebride.

Those wary of spoilers, turn back now.  I'm going to spill Mikage's
entire story.  However it will be noted I will make refrences to his
life in my posts, so it will benefit most to read it ^^

Previous Life:

Mikage is the rebirth of Professor Nemuro, a scientist at Ohtori
Academy.  Nemuro was a very mechanical person, he didn't care much
for his job and did the bare minimum, felt overworked and was very
shut off to the world.  It should also be noted that he hated
smalltalk.

Akio saw potential in Nemuro to unlock his lost powers as
Dios/Beeazelbub, so he decided to put Nemuro in charge of what they
called the "Eternity Project".  In various scenes you could see a
giant equation on a chalkboard behind his desk.  However, Nemuro
still wasn't very motivated... so Akio introduced him to Tokiko.

I'm not sure exactly what Tokiko's status was in the school, but I
know she lived there.  She also had a younger brother named Mamiya,
who was very sick.  He was introduced to her, and became to know them
very well. (specific details were omitted in the anime).  He
eventually fell in love with Tokiko, as some believe.  Others say he
fell in love with Mamiya.  Either way, he decided that he would work
hard on the Eternity Project to cure Mamiya of his disease.

Nemuro managed to build the gate that would open to the spiral
staircase to the floating castle, finally giving Akio access to some
of the power he once lost and a chance to fully regain it.  However,
everyone who worked on the project was a threat to Akio.  At the same
time, Mamiya grew more and more ill, and nothing Nemuro had done thus
far was helping.  Akio proposed to set the building they had been
working in on fire, burning 100 duelists in it while he did.  Akio
told him that it would sustain Mamiya while he tried to grasp
eternity to find the cure.  Nemuro thought it was insane and rejected
the idea.

Then Mamiya took a turn for the worst, and when he saw Tokiko's
tears, he realized that he had unlocked the emotion inside him.  In a
flurry of passionate emotion, he had decided to burn down the
building as Akio suggested.

Now, from here on out we have 2 stories--what happened, and what
Mikage now remembers.  I'll seperate the two into seperate paragraphs.

What Mikage remembers:  Mamiya learned of the plan and set fire to
the building himself.  Tokiko was furious, and slapped Mamiya in the
face.  Nemuro stood up for Mamiya, and Tokiko stormed off.  Neither
heard from Tokiko again.

What -really- happened:  Nemuro set fire to the building himself, and
Tokiko slapped him in the face.  He tried to defend himself, but
Tokiko thought it was lunacy.  He never heard from her again.

From the ashes, the Nemuro Memorial Hall was built.

What Mikage is now:

Mikage is the head of the Mikage Seminar/Black Rose Society.  He is
known throughout the campus for a rather charming but intimidating
personality, and he carries much power.  He got Saionji back in
school just by nonchalantly saying he should be readmitted.  He keeps
to himself, however, and has no real friends among campus.  He is
even arguably more powerful than Juri.  While she can get a teacher
to leave the school just by looking at them, Mikage can get them to
worship his feet and do anything he wants.

It should be noted that Mikage doesn't remember a lot about the final
events as Nemuro.  He doesn't remember Mamiya dying, and lives under
the dillusion that Mamiya is not only alive but currently his lover,
thanks to Akio's apparition.  He is also subconsciouly obssed with
loosing to Tokiko, and projects her image onto anyone who reminds him
of her--his secretary, Utena... He wants to be the one controlling
and defeating her.  It's argued that he loves her, and is scarred by
the fact that she now hates him.

Mamiya:

The real Mamiya died a long time ago.  What we see in the anime and
what Mikage sees is really a male image projected onto Himemiya.
Anthy goes missing a lot in the Black Rose arc--I think it's because
she's with Mikage under the guise of Mamiya.  Eventually, however,
his delusions become so great he creates his own image of Mamiya and
no longer needs Anthy.

Black Roses:

Mikage doesn't like to get his hands dirty, it seems, so he uses
others who are cruel at heart towards Anthy or Utena to fight for
him.  He uses the rings from the 100 dead duelists and puts them on
those cruel in heart, then stabs them with their black rose.

Each student council member has their own black rose, which
represents the person who can make them weak or has an obsession over
them... well they have some personal matter with the student council
member.  Once a person is stabbed with the black rose, the person
seeks the student council member the rose belongs to and pulls a
sword from their chest, like Utena does to Anthy.  Shiori used Juri,
Tsuwabuki used Nanami, Wakaba used Saionji, Keiko used Touga, and
Kozue used Miki.

Once the Black Roses were used up, Mikage had to fight himself.  Once
he lost, Mikage faded from existance, and Nemuro was expelled from
campus.

What Akio was probably doing was testing how far Utena would go to
keep Anthy.  Would you fight your friend's sister, your friend's
love, your best friend, ect.

Interviews:

When a person comes to realize their hatred for Utena or Anthy, they
enter a side-section of the Nemuro Memorial Hall and enter an
elevator.  They confess their feelings, getting more psychotic as
they go.  (Shiori was creepy as hell.)  If they hesitate, Mikage
stops the elevator and sayys, "Deeper... go deeper."(however it
sounds more like "Deeper, much deeper...)  When they come to the peak
of their hate, they reach the bottom floor.  Mikage tells them, "It
seems you have no choice but to revolutionize the world.  The path
before you has been prepared."

Then Mamiya stabs them with a black rose.

The chamber where this happens goes on for eternity, and is says to
lead to the ends of the world... interesting, ne?

I think that's all there is to tell... if you have any more questions
let me know.  Akio knows all of this, however no one else really
does.  All the general public knows is that the Nemuro Memorial was
previously a site of a fire and 100 boys are buried there.

Anthy turned to him with that kawaii clueless expression on her
face, "No. But I didn't actually look for him... Maybe he was busy
with someone."
Suddenly Anthy remembered, "Wait... I did see Akio and Touga. They
were on the balcony together when we were leaving. Akio didn't look
happy."

Sounds just fine to me! I've only seen parts of the move *sniff* but
i did get to read a nice synopsis. Actually I would like to know more
about Mikage ^.^

Hello hello!  I'm the mod (call me Calli for short).  I play Chiye,
Nanami and C-Ko.  Mikage isn't taken yet, but I'm not sure if some
of our members have watched enough of the series to know who Mikage
is (geez, you Mikage fans sure are obsessive, sorry).  Miki is taken
though.  Hmmm...  As for the plot, Nanami made Tsuwabuki and Touga
switch bodies by yet another "secret spice."  This doesn't really
follow the story closely because it's just more fun (actually
there's no particular reason, we just don't feel like it).  Anyway,
Chiye's done a couple things that are kind of mysterious and she and
Akio apparently were planning something together but she got mad
when Akio decided that she didn't do an adequet job and started
correcting whatever it was.  She hasn't quite forgiven him yet.
Anyway, a lot of stuff is in the files section, so go check that out
(though a lot of it isn't updated).  Hope that's it!

((okay, I'm that friggin' bored out of my skull at work.  Classes are
over, I have nothing to do... bleh.  I'll be introducing him from his
first scene in the anime and elaborate on more interesting stuff when
he's in the story more.))

      Two teachers stood before Souji Mikage.  One said, "Thank you
for your report.  As a gift, my wife and I..." he said, as he placed
a package on Mikage's desk.
      "I don't want a gift," Mikage interrupted.  "But instead, I may
need a favor from you in the future..."
      One teacher nudged the other to take the gift back into his
hand.  "Yes, of course."  The two silently walked out, talking
amongst themselves about how intimidated they felt and the presence
Mikage commanded.
      Silently, without care, Mikage returned to his computer screen.
It's not that he liked to manipulate, but if in some way they can
help him in his goals, he would use it.  He himself had built the
opening to the floating castle, but he had yet to fully grasp
eternity for Mamiya and was not going to spare any expense to get
it...even if it meant lives.
      Such as the 100 men he burned alive to sustain Mamiya.
      Ah, but leave that for later, he thought.  I have an appointment
to prepare for.

-hours later-

      "I'm glad you could meet me, Miki-kun," Mikage said
cooly.  "Have you considered my offer?"
      "It's an honor, Mikage-sempai," Miki chirped in reply.  "But I
don't think I'm suited for your seminar."
      "It's a shame...very well then.  Thank you for your time."  He
stood up and left.
      Miki blushed.  Miki himself was intimidated by Mikage, and even
though he wanted to become a member of the seminar, it was a matter
of time.  One can only shuffle so many duties at once before they
become overbearing.

Is there any way I can get a super short 1-2 paragraph summary on the
current story?  Here's what I got so far:

Touga and Tsuwabuki switched bodies and Touga's body has been lost.
I don't know how they were switched... Anthy's curry? j/k

Also, I'm a little lost on the second Rosebride.  Anthy is alive,
right?  The only way to have another Rosebride is for the first to
die... also, wasn't she the rosebride for the fact that she was the
one who was the key to unlocking Akio's power in the end?  Mamiya -
was- Anthy, so that's why he could become one... looking at Sakura's
profile, it's really vague.  Or is she an apparition, like Mikage and
Mamiya?  Could someone explain, please?

Keiko sounds intruguing.  Miki would like her.  Ooooh, plot ideas!

Chiye sounds neat.

Oh yeah, since the seminar is so unexplained in the anime, here's how
I have treated it in the past-- it's a major organization that helps
tutor students, organize student events such as fairs and festivals,
has a counseling center as well as organizing seminars for
motivational and educational speakers to speak to the campus, and
creats a newsletter for the campus.  General student-related
organization and all that.  Because of all the stuff he does on
campus and the fact that he directs everything, he has gained much
power and can now often pass things onto subordinates.  However, he
still holds enough charisma to entice and intimidate other students.
When he asked Miki to join the seminar, in other stories I've treated
it as he's asking Miki to join his tutoring section.  He really
didn't want Nanami to join, his intent was to flaunt in front of
Tsuwabuki so he would have an interview and become his black rose.

That's my way of rationalizing why he's treated like a mafia leader
but doesn't seem to actually do anything ^^;

I think that's all I wanted to ask. ^^;;;  I hope I'm not getting to
ahead of myself, I'm just excited <g>

Okay before something becomes misconstrued, I don't mind other people
playing fanfic duelists as logn as they suit the story ^^ However, I
tend to just kinda mess things up like that so I will not be playing
one.

Officialy, I'd like to play Mikage and Miki-kun.  Luckily Kozue is
not important ~.o

I looked over the rules and I ask that no one god-mode my character
without consulting me first.  I consider it a violation of personal
writing and I really want to be asked first.  I don't god-mode other
people's characters, either.

I'm a college student and I don't have much free time.  Once a week
is the best you can expect, unless I'm at work and there's nothing to
do(aka right now).  Right now my computer is busted so I post at
school/work, and there will be 2 weeks where I might dissapear
altogether, but I'll let you know first.

I'm going to cruise through the posts so I can see who is open.  I
really love Mikage, but if he's not open, I'll take someone else.  I
don't really like the idea of fanfictional duelists(outside of Black
Roses), and I don't want a supporting fanfictional character, so I'll
be taking someone from the series.

Watashi Wa Dreamer:  Well, if you really want to do a somewhat
rebellious character and have watched enough of the series, you
could play Keiko (Nanami's lemming).  Other than that, I have no
suggestions.

Ranting about life:  I'M GOING TO GO INSANE!  Not that I haven't
already, but I'm actually going to go insane.  You know, last year
(Highschool freshman year) was a lot less stressful than this one.
Not to mention my family is pressuring me into deciding what college
I want to go to now.  And I'm supposed to take the Alg. II/Trig SAT
II this spring when I totally suck at math.  Grrrr....  Not to
mention I need money but I'm not going to be able to get my driver's
license until the middle of next year since my birthday was so close
to the cutoff date.  And my parents won't let me work for them until
I get a license because they think I won't do a good enough job or
something, I can never figure out what they mummble as their
reason.  Of course, they're parents so their word is practically law
until I get my own income.  And now I'm starting to realize that I
only have two more years to make my transcript look all pretty for
the colleges and one of them is almost halfway done.  Sometimes I
wish we would just leave all this "knowledge" behind.  Like the
civil savage or whatever that idea was in the Romantic era.  And
then I look at my computer and think "well, maybe not..."  *sigh*

The guests were starting to clear out.  Nanami looked around, trying
to spot Touga and Mitsuru in their new bodies (ooc: okay, I'm typing
this when I'm really tired.  Gimme a break!)  and was just in time
to see a girl laugh at Mitsuru, who was really Touga, and Touga get
extremely pissed off.  Nanami went up to the girl and slapped.  "The
party is officially over.  Leave."  The girl and her friends all
muttered something to the affect of "yes, Miss Nanami" and headed
towards the door.  "Tsuwabuki-kun, how about you stay here
tonight?"  She addressed her brother, who glared at her.  She really
had to figure out what happened to Touga's body sometime soon...

I stopped suddenly as realization set in...  "Wait, Touga and Akio??
You mean Touga wasn't at his own party?"  This was quite unlike
him...  I wonder what happened....  Maybe she could tell us.
