Welcome to the Yahoo! group of the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Alliance (GLBTA) at the University of South Alabama. GLBTA is a student-run, community-based organization open to persons of all gender and sexual orientations. In addition to offering a safe-haven to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender men and women in the area to freely socialize and discuss issues affecting their lives, GLBTA attempts to educate the university and community at large on matters of discrimination, harassment, human rights, and in general getting along.

*** GLBTA has a strong privacy policy. Whatever happens on this list or at our meetings stays within the GLBTA group. Anyone who violates this policy without permission from the officers of GLBTA will be removed from this list and removed from any other participation with GLBTA. GLBTA is safe space for it's members and vows to vigorously protect that privacy. Using GLBTA for recruitment for other organizations is also a violation of the privacy of the group and it's members. Individuals will be removed without notice for violating the privacy of GLBTA and it's members. Anyone who breaks the privacy rules will be reported to the administration of the University of South Alabama for disciplinary action. ***
