UnusualMagic is not another regular list dealing with magic. It is designed for those that are tired of seeing and hearing about magicians performing the floating rose. We don't want to discuss how Copperfield vanished the Statue of Liberty, or any of that typical "commercial magic".

We explore topics such as Bizarre Magick, Mentalism, Theatrical Seances, Sideshow Stunts, etc. This is not a place for discussion about "real" psychics or other supposed "paranormal" activities. Those topics are completely unrelated to the interests of this group. We are theatrical performers and creators.

We will try to keep things on an "adult" level by avoiding any of the "How did they do that?" kind of stuff. If you join us just to learn "secrets" you are headed to wrong place and I suggest that you contact Mark Wilson instead. That doesn't mean we will not discuss some methods. We just won't spend two entire weeks discussing how Lance Burton vanished the elephants on his first special. There are a ton of other places that already discuss that type of thing, and to be honest, the folks here just aren't interested. But don't be surprised if the discussion turns to artists like Penn & Teller on occasion. After all, those two gentlemen embody the true spirit of what UnusualMagic is all about.
