We are a group of Greater Los Angeles-area parents, children, teens and extended family/friends who identify as unschoolers (or their supporters). We share ideas, rants, joys, concerns, and support for and about this powerful way of family living. In time, we may organize get-togethers or share resources.

Although vigorous and searching debate/discussion is welcome, please refrain from flaming, personal attacks, virtual shouting, etc. Each of us arrives at a personal understanding of unschooling -- for some of us, this is a process of de-schooling ourselves as we learn together with our children. Rather than adhere to a strict doctrine of what is and what is not unschooling, we honor individuals' choices, respecting that each of us is an expert on our own families. We strive to be an enriching group that enhances members' experiences on the unschooling path. We welcome diverse membership. Individuals with widely differing perspectives are encouraged to share, discuss, debate, challenge, and stir things up a bit within the parameters of respect, kindness, mutual encouragement, and openmindedness.
