Unschooling means that you don't go to school, and instead live life learning every day in freedom! Unschooling also goes by many other names: Child and Student Led Learning, Interest and Delight Driven Learning, Worldschooling, Life Learning...

Many names, but one belief in the innate ability of human beings to learn naturally, through life. One belief that children and teens are people, too, and worthy of the respect that any adult is automatically given.

This is a group not only for families who are already walking the wonderful path that is Unschooling, but also for those seriously considering it, those highly interested, and highly supportive, of Unschooling, and similar minded people who are currently living in or around Montreal. We look to get a group together that meets regularly, that supports and validates each other, shares experiences, and simply enjoys each others company. We are a very inclusive group, but please keep in mind that this is an Unschooling group, not a homeschooling one. This is not the place to talk about what curriculum you're using. Also, although we welcome people of all faiths and spiritual beliefs, this is an entirely secular group.

I welcome support, suggestions, etc., through email, from unschoolers all over the world! However, I'd really like this group to simply be an extension of our physical support group. Therefor, I will only approve members from Montreal. Sorry!
