This group is for unschooling families in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Unschoolers do not follow ANY curriculum, therefore this is not the place to discuss curriculum! Forming a group of like-minded individuals that can meet to socialize and empower one another is what this list is all about. We wish to extend our welcome to not only unschoolers, but to those who might be tempted to try unschooling as well as families sharing "attachment parenting" philosophies. To most of us here unschooling is merely a continuation of this parenting style.
Respectful people of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome. We want to have fun in this group and hope that it is a means of having our children meet and form lasting friendships with one another! We wish to learn from each other, cherish our similarities, and be fascinated and inspired by diversities within our shared bond. At the same time, please do not join this list to argue against unschooling. There are plenty of traditional homeschooling lists out there you can join instead. We all want to do what is best for our children and families. Those of us who are here and have chosen unschooling see daily proof that it works. If you are only curious and want to learn more, that's great and you are still welcome.
