This list provides discussion, support and encouragement for parents who choose not to send their young children to preschool. Our views here are in accordance with The Alliance For Childhood's proclamation that play is the way children learn best, and that forced academics are harmful to a young child's development. We share play-based educational ideas, resources, and activities, as well as inspirational stories and messages of encouragement, that will enhance your parenting skills and enrich your learning environment at home. You can successfully prepare your young child (about 2 to 5 years old) for school or homeschool without sending them to preschool and without academics. This list is designed to help you do just that.

In addition, this list is for those who are OPPOSED to institutionalizing young children in government universal preschools. We do not support the government preschool-for-all agenda. NOTE: Messages in support of universal preschool will not be approved.
