Namaskara Madhusudhanan avare,
Yes, 1 dina kalpa = 1 day of Brahma. Also 1 Maha Kalpa = 100 years
of Brahma. As you have rightly pointed out, simply 100 years of Brahma
do not equate to 100 Brahma Dina Kalpas or 100 Maha Kalpas.

My intention in giving the figure 100 kalpas (Maha Kalpas)is to indicate the time when Brahma devaru would go to Moksha. It is at the end of his 100 years life span i.e the current Maha Kalpa. Incidentally it is also the 100th Maha Kalpa counting from the Maha Kalpa in which aparoksha jnana occurred, ( vide the statement 'yasmin kalpe aparoksha jnAnam jAtaM tadArabhya shata brahmakalpAnantaram bramhatvam bhavati' - Srinivasatirthara Tippani on Shriman Nyaya Sudhaand). This is the final Maha Kalpa after which Brahma devaru goes to liberation.

regards,
R.Rachuri
