Re: trail protein

i make turkey jerky. i can make it without spices to be low odor for bear
country. I buy extra lean ground turkey, squeeze it out of a "jerky shooter",
season it, and dehydrate it.

Hi David, For extra protein on the trail, I like nutiva hemp protein powder. It's organic, vegan and raw. You can mix it with powdered milk and crushed up...

oh yeah...and i forgot to say that each serving has a ton of fiber so you won't get stopped up :) you could experiment mixing it in with your PB and testing...

Jerky stays usable because of it's low moisture content- mixing it into anything with a higher moisture content could (conceivably), shorten it's storage life....
