i make turkey jerky. i can make it without spices to be low odor for bear country. I buy extra lean ground turkey, squeeze it out of a "jerky shooter", season

Jerky stays usable because of it's low moisture content- mixing it into anything with a higher moisture content could (conceivably), shorten it's storage life.
